Also threw on the new Hardcore Bumper on front with a 12,00lb Badland's Apex winch with synthetic line . The electric's not hooked up yet , that will be mon or tue thus the blue rag wrapped around the the end clip so it's not beating against the powder coating. I did cut into the bumper a little so I could engage/dis-engage the line clutch . 20210724_123241.jpg20210724_123218.jpg

Well it was a P.I.T.A. to figure out where to relocate the contactor/relay/tophat thing so when all was said and done I had to say good-bye to my patrol badge [ at least for now ] and cut a hole in the grill o_O

note to other people [ do You really need that BIG of a winch ] apparently I did . Lolololol20210729_162635.jpg20210729_162619.jpg20210729_154312.jpg

LOL, no, I don’t think we do need that monster. But @, if I remember less than $500.00 OTD with synthetic line, and wireless remote it was hard to pass up. Now that said, I’m having the same issue and in the process of shrinking the contro box I found the “wireless” receiver box was not secured and was bouncing around loose. Looked like an afterthought as the the wiring was a mess. I contacted HF about the loose black box & they told me there was no black box as there was nothing like that in the wiring diagram they had. Sent them photos & they said “we will get back to you”, yep, been 6-8 weeks and crickets, but in this heat I’m in no hurry with no AC in my shop/garage.
I’m trying to do a stealth mount using the plastic facia until my bumper gets built, seems if it ever will happen.....? If I can’t shrink the relay box enough to mount on top of the OEM fuse box I’ll make another box that will. There’s plenty room @ factory airbox area, but I’ve seen the damage a K&N type to my MX and desert racing 2 cycles cylinders & crankshafts, and at time, that was my profession and if I blew up I didn’t eat that week. LOL, I did slap this together with some gusseting added under & behind the “crumble crash” bumper so at least I can drive it while I waiting on the bumper. I don’t want to trash the stock plastic & think it can be done with minimal cutting.03F33FE4-2B5B-472F-BBCA-8528AF15FC93.jpeg & Yes I know the fairlead is upside down, but there is a reason ATM. :)

Old Delco battery crapped out after 4 years. Ended up biting the bullet for the Odyssey 34R-PC1500T from TuffTruckParts.com $295.99 free shipping and NO tax. Came in 3 days to boot. Now I have to get a better strap (if I can afford it now).

It does fit between the air filter and head light's ; securing there can be done but you'd have to remove it to change the lower bulb in the headlight. I thought about mounting in the cab under the passenger seat also but that wire ain't cheap !!
2 Of the bolt hole's lined up perfect on that bracket in the middle with the relocate bracket they give you . Im gonna make a brace for the right side and put the horn on that . H.F. people probably think the little black box is one piece with the tophat but it just hide's/divide's the connector's . Let me know how you make out with the new bumper . I had to trim some metal away on the the top of mine .

Will let you know if it ever gets built. At this rate it may be Christmas :(. Ha, that said, if I get the plastic facia on with good result, when the bumper comes I just might have one for sale for immediate delivery. :)

New Diode Dynamic's HP6 31mm bulb's for map Lt and rear cargo overhead dome Lt.
Probably 5-7 time's brighter then those $10 Led kit's that replace all smaller bulb's. They were $10 apiece and worth it to me !!
New len's cover's also arrived today for 22" light bar . :D

Which color/temp did you get? Also, be curious if you get any faint glow when completely dark out since they don’t appear to have a resistor (unless it’s inside).

Was out running errands and popped pending p0305 and p0300 codes.

Went from thinking I would have some time to do some suspension work before I have to go back to commuting again to thinking ‘oh balls, not this BS again.’

Just the cool white color . They are bright !! Didn't notice any glow but also wasn't looking for it . For $10 a piece and a 3 year warranty I'd purchase again without hesitation .

I recently got those fancy carbon ones and I don’t know if they’re any better or not, but my air volume is noticeably lower. Next time I think I might just get the regular ones, because especially off pavement a lot they get dirty quick.

X had breakfast this morning. New tranny and t-case juice. Anyone here that went to ECXC and heard me complain about the clunking near the t-case, the changeout helped tremendously. I still think I have a little rear shaft front pinion slop, but I have to work hard to make it known.

The 4 bottles of MOC was a welcomed raffle prize from ECXC, and the amazon prime promo did me well for the other 4 of Mobil 1. Now back to breaking things.

Got the 2nd stick'em from Todd and this time with directions!

I don't like it tho. At $28+ I would've thought you could read it without touching the bumper.. I took my time, FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS, used the diffuser, but it's faded and tough to read. I feel like I'll be rear ended now from someone curious. 20210811_094055.jpg20210811_094022.jpg

Finally got around to replacing the front Rotor's/caliper's and new ceramic pad's [ Did the rear's last year around fall ] That wasn't bad to do but when Jeff grabbed passenger rotor on the top and bottom it had play in it. The new hub's didn't get there till 5:30 this evening so We'll do them later in the week ; I've passed the point of there's more new then old on this 05. I guess I figured out way I don't run into other Xterra owner's at the bar. THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT !! Hell I've only been to a bar 3-5 time's in the last year..o_O20210816_174521.jpg20210816_185700.jpg

Ok, just received my Mevotech UCA and LCA ‘s from RockAuto for my TS and only 94% loving it. One LCA is missing the hardware and grease fitting and the other LCA has corrosion . Not sure what to do since the corrosion is on a couple of welds. Now.... what would you do? As you see, it’s not even out of the bag yet.

A) keep it and clean/paint the spots.
B) return for refund and reorder WITH having to pay $7.06 shipping back.

I sent them a separate email on top of the return request. We’ll see what happens with their response. From your responses to my OP, it sounds like this isn’t in their norm.

Just received a response from RockAuto this morning after my complaint email last night for the return shipping charge to me of my defective/incomplete parts order. Shouldn’t have had to get this far but it works for me. They’re paying to ship both parts back. Since I was originally expecting a simple exchange I had opted for the store credit. So I get to try a second pair from them.

Quick Post turnaround. Just received from RockAuto. I just shipped bad ones yesterday. Now that’s the service I would/should expect, and look at the delivery dates. Tomorrow and Friday. Nice.

I've been happy with Rockauto core and regular return service. Once or twice a part was in the wrong box or missing hardware. No big deal, mistakes happen, they always fixed it.

Just recently broke another sway bar link. I was going to upload a video of trying to drive the speed limit on the road I lived on... but after about 15 seconds the mount broke and most of the video is just bouncing around the foot well.

Now.... for those who have a Heftyfab bumper, what’s missing in the pic above?

b35a877dabefb4f2738b1c59ab7e6423.jpg

The DAMNED nuts to mount the freakin’ bumper to their plates!!! I just can’t win lately. They are willing to send me the nuts but I asked them if they can send me a patch and I’ll get the nuts myself. Then I’ll have it done tomorrow and I can work on t
