My computer is doing something it's never done before , when turned on it read's that it's disk checking ? I've never burned ,used or put a disk in of any kind with this computer beside's the set-up one that came with it. Anyone have any thought's/idea's why it's doing this now ? It's at least a 3 year old system . Could it be someone's way of hacking into it ? It give's you 7 second's of time to opt out of it.. Any help/advice is much appreciated :)

Sounds like a self check of the internal disk from the hard drive. I think I have seen that before, Im not a PC wiz so take this with a grain of salt.

Anyone happen to know bushing specs for 2nd gen alcans?

I'm looking for something better than the ones alcan provides.

They're Urethane Bushings... I don't know what else you'd get?

My only complaint with the two set's I've run in that they only provide one sleeve.... Because they make them to go with the stock shackle... eventhough that doesn't really work, and no one run them that way.....

So I've just used a piece of 5/8" OD x 1/2" ID DOM pipe. and the 1/2" bolts that come with the aftermarket shackles.

IIRC.... (and it has been a while)... upon boot up, something wasn't quite right with the hard drive, maybe a bad sector was detected or a data bit needed seemed to be missing, ANYWAY ... the boot sequence checks all the sectors for possible corruption and if one is detected it moves the data to a good sector.

Pretty much this. If it keeps doing this, your hard drive is dying (the thing that stores all of your files).

Related (but not related), do you have backups of all your important files? If the drive dies, those will all disappear. Always make sure you have backups, even if your computer isn't acting flaky, it doesn't take much to lose everything.

Maybe that's my problem. I've been running with no sleeves because the ones that came with the shackles didn't fit. I'll pick up some new bushings and some tubing.

I've never had any issues at all ....

You definitely want to use that super sticky bushing grease on the bushings, and the DOM pipe, and then anti-sieze the living hell out of the bolt and inside of the "sleeve"... Cut the sleeve to be the same length as the width of the installed bushings, that way when you tighten the bolt it secures hard to the sleeve and allows the bushing and sleeve to be the pivot, and not the bolt.

You'll never wear them out..... You may however wear out the frame mounted side though....I replaced those once.

John has to much time on his hand. My people at work are still acting like retards. Started new bp meds last week and had me ufcked up for a few days. Jim stuck his penis in a light bulb receptical last I heard so might be dead. And It's about time to find a lady friend this old man needs some ufcking action. Was nice out today but stayed inside all day. When I get the 3rd stimulus I'm going to get the ball rolling on the devorce I have been so much happier with her in my life, Sunday was the first time in almost a month since I have had to talk to her. They still sell micromachiens. Just got done debating the effectiveness of AR-15s as home defense gun on a dating group on fb some people need to pull their head out of their asses It's not all about "stopping power" dip shiat learn the golden rule one in the head and two in the pocket and if I want to have 30 rounds what the ufck is it to you also if you shoot a gun in doors It's going to be ufcking loud no matter what it is.

Thinking about after work friday going hiking it's supposed to be near 60°F then coming home taking a nap then spend the evening smoking a stogie and sipping on some whiskey and maybe watch a movie or two.

That sounds like an epic day.

We're supposed to get an obscene amount of snow this coming weekend. They're calling for 12-18" in the metro area over 4 days. That's a lot for Denver. And we usually get more than Denver here at the house.

We aren't supposed to get that much down here, south of you. ;)
