Is This Really The Future Of Outdoor Adventuring Or
Just Blank-Check Firms Trend-Teasing Us?

Without putting on the flame-retardant foil suit particularly useful in automotive forum communities challenging opinions, the one thing we as an outdoor adventure vehicle up-fitting company love most is the common ground surrounding the community of outdoor experiences. We all share stories around the campsite fires and/or parking lots with our diverse trucks no matter if the platform is a Nissan, Toyota, Ford, GM product, or the Dodge/RAM.. sorry Honda

In all fun and adventure that we crave and work hard to build, sometimes turn-key projects bringing our outdoor motivations to just...

What are your thoughts on the possibilities?

Rivian at this point is claiming a range of 400 miles in the truck platform and 410 miles in the SUV. Of course like our own vehicles, tire sizes, weight of gear, etc may change mileage results to some degree, if nothing else, we may start seeing Solar Panel trees in middle of no where in State or National parks and recreational facilities. Who knows?

The concept is interesting. I'm not sure it'll be viable for some time now though. Also, if they are serious, considerations for lifting and fitting larger tires needs to be a priority in order to really reach folks who are buying trucks right now.

Well, scrunch your butt-cheeks together and dig your heels in.

R1T and R1S: price and release date
A $75,000 Launch edition will start deliveries in June 2021 for the United States, and November 2021 for Canada. A $75,000 Adventure edition will hit roads in January 2022. Posted Nov 12, 2020

Larger tires could be something to consider but maybe best left with room to do so would be better and letting the customer choose their poison. And lifted? Could be a matter of just airbag suspension allowing for 2-2.5" lift with a decently good ride still. There are a ton of vehicles all over the world where countries limit lifting to no more than 3", some including tire and suspension lift together. Australia has some ridiculous lift laws just as an example but honestly, a 2" lift and the right tires can do a lot when matched to the rest of the vehicles capabilities. We see mods in 99% of any platforms can be an advantage over stock sometimes. Sometimes, some stock vehicles make modded ones look silly too. lol

Well...I can say from an aesthetic standpoint...those headlights make the truck look like it's surprised. And a total opposite of the Angry Jeep eyes I've seen all over town. Not a fan of either.

Agreed, I almost hope that DRL band across the front at least wont be in the production version. and ditto on the Angry Eye'd Jeeps or the other ones with the 1860's Pacific Railroad cow catcher grill... the worst! LOL

It's certainly the future - but how far into the future is the question. Right now EV vehicles are the minority. To get to the point where the number of internal combustion and EV vehicles "Trade places" and internal combustion vehicles become the minority, I'm thinking it's another 10-20 years.

I Agree, I think EV is like not even a full 3% on the Global scale.. The technology will come, its the infrastructure that doesn't exist.

I kinda consider EV to be the "Bitcoin" of the Automotive Industry; wildly publicized and touted as the future, less than 3% in use. lol
