Failed smog because the CARB EO for the Magnaflow cats was apparently withdrawn this May, and I didn’t have any paperwork with me to show they were installed a year before that. I guess that’s what I get for being proactive and replacing them - I just kept reading the horror stories.

That really sucks! I have the MFs as well, replaced them preemptively after @jsexton lost his engine to his cats at a similar milage to my 2007.

In the last year I've developed issues with my Bank 1 cat throwing efficiency codes. I've swapped positions with all 4 O2 sensors and the code stays the same, so the converter is obviously going. MF said "tough luck".

My X uses no oil, has not had any issues with missing and my OE cats weren't having issues, I just did it because I got scared of ruining my engine. I guess thats just how it goes sometimes. Best laid plans and all that.

Yesterday I rotated the tires. While I had everything off, I checked torque on the ubolt flip and it was perfect. On the front I finally reversed the incorrect direction for the lower shock mount bolt since it was slightly touching the sway bar.

I tried to figure out what a "click" or "clunk" noise was I've been hearing on the trail and couldn't replicate it by moving the hub up and down. I did notice the bushings for the front sway bar were shot, and it was really tough to move it. Pulled it off and the bushings were indeed all chewed up and had to clean off some gunk.

I installed replacement bushings from Napa that actually don't fill the bracket perfectly, so once I tightened down they split themselves open. I left them in with some washers for now temporarily, but will have to do it all again once I order correct ones.

Went on Amazon today , Odo's gonna love me . Lol So.....Here's what I ordered for him
High-lift Pro jack and a ground plate......
Rhino folding shovel......
Koyo A 2807 Radiator , I'm already on the list for Offroad gorilla's full hose replacement set and everything will go in Feb/March when it's timing chain replacement time.
Foxwell OBD2 scanner/code reader . I went this route because my S5 phone is 8 or more year's old and not sure about how it would handle the down load of the smaller model's that work with ur phone AND not seeing a new phone in the direct future:cool:

How did you order them? I sent him an email asking if they were ever coming back in stock. Then when I ordered koozies from him in the notes field I asked about the hoses. Still never heard.

I got a CargoLoc 2 in 1 roof basket/hitch-mounted cargo carrier. I spent a long time yesterday getting it mounted up on the roof and reconfiguring my traction boards, shovel/axe mounts and the new basket. Would love to post a detailed photo but

When I inquired about it they asked if they should put me on a contact list to be notified as soon as there in stock and I said yes indeed ! Shoot them another Email and asked to b put on the notification list for the hose replacement set.

Just been driving the poor thing. I think I need to tear all the brakes apart and give them a good cleaning. The rears are acting funny sometimes.
Hey TerryD , I've been thinking about the powerstop rotor's and pad set-up like nisstec sell's but from amazon since I've added about 200lb's+ for daily driving . I was wondering did you upgrade your braking system and are you still using the stock caliper's ? thanx

I'm running all stock stuff. Just upgraded to the Raybestos EHT pads. They make a huge improvement in braking. I'm going to go with their slotted rotors when I redo the brakes though.

Ordered sway bar bushings and end links from PRG. If you buy them separate you get free shipping. If you get the "discounted" combo of the two, the shipping makes it $5 more. I hate that.

Edit: Greg refunded $9 unprompted. Cool of him to do. He must not be aware of it tacking on the extra shipping.

Since you have them... do they have either the twin snowpeaks symbol on them, or M+S? My Cooper ST/Maxxs in 255/85 are starting to get worn, and I might be up for trying these to see how they perform in the winter, but I need one of those 2 symbols for them to be legal to drive in the mountains in the winter in BC. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=125

It would be nice if more guys made the 255/85, I like the lighter weight while keeping 33". Duratracs would be nice, but they only come in 285s

These have the M+S logo . So far only road driving , I think there on the lower range for noise and since their new only time will tell. Supposed to go offroad at flagpole knob on the 8th and I'll see how they do there. I drove 5 hour's in the rain coming back from SOBX and were fine till I hit about 75-80mph [ excellent sipeing] . These run around 59lb's. I'M LIKING :)

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find it anywhere on their site.

I was hoping for the snowflake, gives better winter performance. The Coopers (also just M+S) are great in snow and slush, but are a bit lacking on ice (which, given that it is a daily in the city, we get a lot of....). Might give them a shot, or just bite the bullet and go for Duratracs in 285. Need to do some pricing, that might help make up my mind too... Or, keep the Coopers, and buy a daily driver.... decisions, decisions

I REALLY liked the Falken AT3W's that these replaced. They are triple peak severe snow rated , I bought them in 265 to stay a stock size but I went up in size and aggressiveness with these . I went with the pizza cutter's to avoid any rub as I have 2.5 inch suspension lift and didn't want any spacer's . If mind serve's me the 285/75 AT3W's go about 69lb's ?? If I remember:confused:

1. Hopefully I get to see all the new stuff on Nov 8.

2. What did you do with the other tires? I thought they had a lot of tread left if I remember correctly.

Still snow on the roof, but this is all I can get for the moment. The Cargo-Loc 2 in 1 is also a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, but I'll most likely be keeping on the roof. The Quick Fist clamps are for my axe and shovel for camping. I used the House Tuning 2.25" aluminum clamps to secure the traction boards and the CB antenna mount. Since I moved the mount, I'll most likely have to reset the SWR before using my CB radio. The traction boards also sit on the edge of the 2 Superstrut bars, so there really isn't any weight on the House Tuning clamps.

I am planning on Sunday the 8th for Flagpole knob , if your going down 66 to 81 I'll probably meet you on the side of 66. I'll give you a shout on the cell Sat the 7th mid-evening.
I have around 8,600 mile's on the AT3W'S , their still on the alloy rim's. I might keep them just for driving to the Key's or sell them and go to 285/75 AT3W's for long trip's or buy a set of the Mt-01's in a 265/75 for the trip's . I need to see how these MT's wear Using them as every day tire's . Too much thought !!

Also got the slider/step's welded today, It's like a piece of mind back up plan for the bolt's !!
