Here I am ;;;;;;;;; Back at this thread again !. I recently got some slider's that also double as a step and they are advertised as bolt on . When I looked under Odo to check thing's out I couldn't help but notice the difference in size from the bolt's to the hole's their supposed to go thru  [Hole's in frame 2-3 time's bigger then the bolt's that go thru ] Has anyone else had a size difference here , did I receive the wrong bolt's, did the 2014 pro these were designed off of have different size hole's ? Would it weaken the frame if I just had them welded on ??

I'm pretty sure Nissan kept them the same size across the years, maybe the manufacturer sent you the wrong one? Either way if the weld was good I don't think it would be a problem. Could you drill out the mounts and just buy the factory bolts from Nissan?

What brand? Can you find the instructions for them?

They were from Hardcore Offroad , I actually drove to Pa and picked everything up from them. I'm thinking if I put them on and tighten them down the first hit would send them upward's with a nasty sound and sudden stop be-it only a little bit , I even thought about jacking them up to the top of the hole and then tighten them down there ? maybe they would stay there with some small weld's here and there holding them up or just a full on weld job which is alright cause once their on I don't plan on taking them off . I might not have realized the difference until later but I was looking around because I was going to POR-15 the frame before instillation to get it sealed up decently. Here's some pic's of the difference in size. No instruction's just bolt -on .20201009_142402.jpg 20201009_142144.jpgAlthough the hole's look similar in size they aren't , I guess bigger bolt's could take up some slack but not all . Even then there's only about a 1/4 inch between the fuel tank and frame so only 2 bolt's would work on driver's side.

If they’re anything like the WK sliders, the bolts were small of the holes. BUT WK included a large backer plate (1/8” thick or so) for all those bolts for strength against the frame sidewalls. 2 of which were installed inside the frame (little tricky) Doesn’t sound like you have those as part of your kit, or weren’t even meant to be included.

Hey Eddie, do any of the mounts wrap around the bottom of the frame?
No Terry they only bolt to the side, they actually welded a nut inside these wierd looking backer plate's . Ill take a pic . I found a shock bolt and it fit's the slider bracket hole perfect but still sloppy in the frame .Here's a pic of both side's of plate's .20201009_200209.jpg

It almost makes me think that the raised side of the backer plate's should maybe center it in the hole ? But there's nothing to center the slider bracket side !! I think I'm at the point of finding bolt's that fit the frame hole's and drilling the slider mount bracket itself or just getting them welded on. After a couple of issue's with the NEW REAR BUMPER I guess I shouldn't expect anything different with the slider's !!!

No they didn't hand me anything when I was there picking it up . Just said it was pretty simple bolt-on . I figured 6 bolt's it shouldn't be hard especially since I could take apart or put together a patent tong oyster rig on a boat so I didn't go into any detail about it. But since I've already been on the phone with them about why the lug nut's bottom out without tightening up the spare tire they said it was nothing they did wrong ?

Apparently they believe the wheel hub assembly [ what you press the stud's into ] is only a quarter inch thick so the round disc of metal they weld the stud's into to hold the spare only need's to be 1/4 inch thick. I put a round piece of 1/2 plywood behind the spare to help the lug's tighten and hold .

I'd say they expect most folks to run aluminum wheels with the thicker flanges.

I don't know what to think anymore. I'm sure I tried an alloy on there also, I mean if the spare steelie was that much thinner you'd have to use lug nut's that were open ended when you used your spare right ? Or am I missing somthing .

Sounds like someone there was making ASSumptions. Just a thought for your solution with the plywood, but would a plastic disc work better as “permanent”. No compression, swell, or possible rot over time? Maybe a 1/2” thick plastic cutting board?

The plywood was in front of everything so it was the sacrificial lamb and now I have a good pattern to use the white plastic house trim with a thin piece of rubber in front of it or paint it black  or order 3 open ended lug nut's in 12 x 1.25 ?

Lol , I understood what you meant. It's all good !!:D But If you saw the run's in the paint job I put on the slider's it's a wonder I didn't slap myself with the brush !! [ Note to self , don't apply POR-15 in the sunlight with a brush:confused: ] At least I was smart enough to get the bumper powder coated !

. Just remember, paint them after the POR15. Don’t forget about it and leave it exposed like I did my frame.
I actually painted my slider's with POR-15 "Top Coat" which is what they recommend for anything exposed to sunlight. And since I didn't want black or silver slider's. Yea I'm a little weird .20201009_213939.jpg

Didn’t put on the topcoat. Sunlight breaks down por15 base coat. Some areas above the tires started peeling a little. I guess 3 1/4” lift exposes the frame a little too much.

Here's an interesting one. After my 2000 mile road trip a few weeks ago, I noticed a lot of bugs somehow squashed on the INSIDE of my wheels. Like 5 or 6 per wheel. How do you think they get there?

And even more confusing, they snuck inside the rotor...? Majority were this wasp-looking thing too.

Anyone have (good) experience with any of the cheapo six packs of ignition coils all over amazon/eBay? It would be for short term/backup use.

Anyone know how much I need to adjust the spring perch on my new OEM length Radflo’s to drop 1”? They are about an inch higher than I want. The ride sure is nice though!

I think it's a half inch . I say this because when I put a half inch spacer on top it pushed down and lifted up an inch," suspension lift". But I am guessing at this .Call nisstec and ask them.

Yeah, I was thinking 1/2 inch too, just wanted confirmation before charging ahead.

@TheCrabby1 I was thinking along those same lines, 1/2” spaces gives 1” lift. I would have called Nisstec, but there are closed on the weekends.

Anyone else ever have extra good aftermarket parts think ‘maybe I should buy another rig to use this on’ instead of ‘good spare to have’ or ‘maybe I should try selling this’?
