Accomplished a 2" Nisstec front spacer lift and It looks great. Also installed Bilstein 5100s adjstible shocks at 0 lift position. But now the the upper control arm travel is not great. Here's my quesion; if I replace the UCAs, will I get more travel, or would I need additional upgrades someplace else (e.g., new coil springs).

You won't gain travel with ucas alone. Well, maybe a touch but... Really, you need extended travel coilovers to see a difference.

^ what he said. the UCA upgrade is a necessary clearance item if you plan more than 2" of lift. You can thank nissan for that super great design.

Agree, the design is weak. It wouldn't have cost much to give the front end more travel from the factory. With the 2" lift, there is only about half an inch between the UCA and the coil bucket.

So, took the X to get an alignment. The shop said the cam bolts were ciezed, so I needed new LCAs. Quoted me $1,200. Made an appointment to get a second opinion. Explained the situation and they agreed to give it a try next week. I'm hoping to avoid replacing the LCAs. They only have 38k miles and appear to be in great shape. The thought occured to me to just Titan swap the whole shebang. But, it seems wasteful to dx all those relatively new parts (and I'm not sure I could sell it to the wife). Cheapest thing would be to take off the 2" lift, but I don't think so:)

The shop also said the cam bolts I got from Rough Country are the wrong ones. They Seemed fine to me. We'll see what the other shop says.

I literally just had to do the same thing in mid march after lifting the front 2.5 inch's , ran me about $ 1023.00 and that was with a labor rate of $ 102 /Hr. Since mine's my only vehicle waiting to order/receive and then cut out old LCA's then back for an alignment shop while wearing the edge's off the NEW tire's wasn't even an option.I did mine with an inch and a half gain from the coilover's and an inch from a spacer if that make's a difference. It's only money :(

Man I don't wAnt to do that. But we'll see. Like you said, tire wear is a concern. I've been driving it for about a week like this.

Update on my frozen cam bolts. The second shop was able to replace the ciezed ones with the new Rough Country bolts. Alignment complete. Still reserching after market UCAs. Rock auto has adjustable Mevotech UCAs (with SPC balljoint) for about $400 for pair. That's cheaper than the SPC UCAs, if the quality is comparable.

Those are the ones I bought. If they come with the greasable SPC ball joints they're the same as the PRG arms. I wouldn't buy anything made by mevotech other than those arms.

Ive been dithering around trying to decide on which UCAs to get. Leading contemder is the Mevotechs with SPC ball joints from Rock Auto. But, here's a probably stupid question. Can I use Titan UCAs without doing the rest of the swap? I'd like to do the whole swap someday, but can't right now. If I could do the Titan UCAs that would save me from buying UCAs twice.

No. You can not use Titan uppers without titan lowers, tie rods, new coilovers and either Titan axles/m205 or extended r180 shafts

If you go through with it I think that's probably the best option without spending at least the same amount of money trying to get lift with the factory components. Otherwise you'll just end up having to replace a ton of parts again whenever you decide to go through with it.
