Woodford Reserve bourbon on ice.

At work we started a little thing we code name BF for Bourbon Friday while we are all working from home and social distancing. Yes, Friday afternoon conference calls are entertaining.

Found Appleton's Rum when the wife and I were on our honeymoon in Jamaica a few years ago and have been a fan ever since but you usually only find their nicer things in the local liquor stores.

Today I found some of their cheaper stuff ($19/750mL) and it was even on sale so I grabbed a bottle to try. It's pretty good! You can tell a difference between it and the $50/750 stuff no doubt but it's ok for sipping having just opened it (I usually oxidize my rum for a week or so) and it would mix with a coke excellent if that's your thing.

Kroger had a sixer of Sierraveza and Hazy IPA (which sell for about $12/6 normally) in the mix 6 section so I got a 6er of each for $$18.

Drank half of those Friday night at camp with our tacos for supper. We all gathered around and killed a 5th of Tin Cup rye and a 5th of Old Camp plus emptied a box of hot n spicy Cheez-it's before the air in the bag could depressurize after opening them...

Then Saturday night I finished my other 6er, we cleaned up a "party pack" of Fireball shooters, and gobble knows what else I drank. Finally swam to bed about 3am.

My liver and my off-road trailer got a workout this weekend.

GOOD TIMES....

I had a couple leftover Starr Hill IPAs from Monday I drank while mowing the yard which turned out to be more like a mud bog behind the house...
