No More Nissan For Me. Was Fun, But

After many years of wheeling Nissan, I have had to make the step across the road to the feared Toyota owners side. I am relocating my life to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania and I can not take my X. Would have to convert it to RHD and pay over 12K in Import Taxes.
So I have sold my baby and just confirmed the purchase of an icon.
Got a 79 series pickup with camper, ready to disappear into the wild.

Was fun while it lasted but as far as I'm concerned Nissan off road is a thing of the past.
All hail the 79

Hate to see you go man! Please stay around and share your adventures!

I want to like your post for the awesome truck but don't want to like it because it's another Nissan brethren out of the fold...

I tried everything to try and get my X over to Africa. Just didn't work.
The only option there is the LC due to its rugged abilities and availability of parts. @TerryD I'll lurk in the shadows and will post some adventures we've planed. First one will be as soon as they lift this travel ban and we fly to South Africa to collect her. We then have a 3000 mile drive to our new home. Many of those miles are on dirt and some interesting places. More wildlife pics coming up :)

Yep, South African camper on the trusty LC79. It's true rarity since the company which made those campers closed a few years back. But at $14000(all in) its a steal. The cool part is it lifts off the bed of the truck at the camp site so that exploring can be done without packing up camp.
The LC has solid axels, diff locks, 4.3 gearing, manual tranny and transfer case all powered by a 4.2 straight 6 diesel. 130l fuel tank ensures long distance pleasure.
