Well... sent all our guys home this morning, told them to look into unemployment. This is not looking good
Aaaaaand... welcome to the club.

I've been laid off before. Actually nearly every time there's a recession, roughly every 10 years. Never been unemployed more than a day until now.

The difference this time is every place I apply to says "indefinite hiring freeze" and then deletes the job postings they forgot were still up. It will certainly be an interesting year.

Are you a Tomato hoarder ?? or you got a greenhouse stashed away on your property. I know people who can tomato's/salsa's/tomato sauce and veggie's but never tomato soup . Do you spice it up to your taste, add in other goodie's or leave it kind of standard ??

We do have a green house and large garden area. We freeze large bags of tomatoes in the fall to use through the winter and spring. We also can 3-4 dozen jars of tomato sauce and salsa in the fall. For the soup we season it to our taste, we can lots of different soups, stews and chilies. Makes for quick easy meals. Some of them we even dehydrate to take camping and back packing.

Don't let anyone tell you migrating your Plex server to a new box is quick. Several days to move the media assets and verify they work at the new location, updating automation automation to have their links go to the new structure, 2 hours+ of zipping the plex folder, two hours to MOVE the file to the new server (via a common share) and another hour to unzip the server at the new location. BUT. I did get everything finally migrated off my old server.

100%. Last weekend was my first try moving it rather than just blowing it away and starting over. (Since my son isn't here to do it.) Took all weekend to get the whole thing running again. Was this going on that irresistable server you mentioned buying recently?

This time I decided to make a freenas box. Managed to do something wrong and kill the whole zfs raid pool, then was happy to see that a few good commands bring it back online and fixing itself. Also setup file sharing, syncthing, subsonic, and a pi-hole vm on it. Fun stuff to learn.

Pulled a few new cables and got some 1gig links up. That helped.

So I came to a stop and took some pictures of it. Beautiful creature. However it was intently watching the opposite side of the road, barely even sparing me a glance. I figured it was watching some prey.
I roll forwards to sneak past it and it moves off to the left side of the road and goes on alert again.
Just then a cougar crosses the road about 40’ away! Looking very sleek and powerful. I presume it was on its way after the other cat.

That is a good spot.. spotting cougar is rare, but seeing a Lynx too all with in same time and area.. is a Gem!!!. Lynx feet are dead give away.. they are Big paws for size of cat. almost looks like a collar home lynx.

Lynx looked wet. Lynx chasing Puma? Or the other way around. As both seeking same Prey..

This is a 1U box running dual Xeon E5 2680, and Plex is the only thing it'll run. I _should_ be able to handle multiple 4K streams if I ever choose to get that high a quality media. The storage array is a 4U Unraid box. I was running FreeNAS on my backup, but didn't like the idea of buying 4 6T drives every time I wanted to upgrade space, so went Unraid this time. My old server I'm turning into a VM host with either oVirt or Docker under Ubunutu/Portainer. Still need to complete moving all the non video stuff off the old 12T array to the new Unraid box.

I'm not an IT professional, but I did sleep on a bed last night.

Why must things be over complicated? Especially when plex is so simple.

If I was speccing a system for someone else, I would keep it simple. Tower chassis with about 8 drive bays and be done.
