Mmm chorizo
We have 3 hundred and sometimes cases but they are only testing people sick enough to be hospitalized. The local hospital only got 10 tests. This whole shutdown is ufcking retarded. Just did the quick math for PA. 479 cases. PA has a population of roughly 12.8 million. That means that people are freaking out and causing an economic crisis for roughly .0037% of a "problem". That's just PA. Do the math for the entire country and it becomes even more ufcking absurd.
At least i'm not in it alone. Paper mill don't shut down....So my work said that we are going to keep working even though we are not an essential manufacturer. Right now we are just making parts for pumps that are going to sit around because our customer can't get any parts they need from overseas to build them.
Oh, there are a lot of pissed off people. My boss came in this morning and he was fuming. He was to the point that he was saying that he hopes someone get sick while there and sues the shiat out of them. Seeing how we have 9 out of 47 employees that are under the age of 50 most of the shop is vulnerable to the virus. At least i'm not in it alone. Paper mill don't shut down....

I know I'm at a higher risk of getting it because my wife works at a pharmacy and she is all the time bringing home shiat. I know just about every year she gets strep throat then spreads it to the rest of the family. They released a statement today saying not to go into control rooms unless your job requires you to be in there. Also no more than 10 in break rooms at any point in time.
They did say that if you contract the virus or come into known contact with someone who has, that the company will approve short time disability and pay up to 30 days comp pay until short term kicks in.

Yep !! Same as you and TerryD , The other half is a Trauma nurse but a normal 12 shift has her working in the Asthma ward/walk-in's/trauma unit at 4 hour's each give or take and she's at Children's National Medical center so always around sick kid's. Since living with her I get flu shot's every year , and continually wash my hand's; BUT THIS IS A DIFFERENT BEAST according her. Now her routine is to More than normally sanitize down before leaving work; keep work shoe's there in locker/deposit work clothe's in washer upon home arrival/ shower immediately/do not pass go/ do not collect $200. I've only had strep once and I wasn't around anyone with it. $HIT JUMPED OFF HER CLOTHE'S !!!!I know I'm at a higher risk of getting it because my wife works at a pharmacy and she is all the time bringing home shiat.
