I picked up the Nissan in January of 2018 fairly stock with the exception of a spacer lift. I never had plans to take it off-roading until I found this community and shortly after owning it attended ECXC 2018. It was all downhill from there. Plans are for a titan swap and 33's. I'm designing a custom rear tire swing to add to my bumper as well. I plan on sharing the drawings when its finished.

and here are the cad designs of future projects for my rear storage setup and rear tire carrier.
The rear storage bin will use the space previously taken by the spare tire. i plan to cut out the floor area and weld in a box.

spare tire carrier able to fit up to a 35" tire (as shown in model). i want to use the dual rear opening arms to act like a table at a camp site.

I decided to paint the wheels last night. The black was faded and i've never been a fan of black wheels so...
I dig it for now. I might switch it up to a darker gloss primer color. Its a 10' job for sure.

Another productive day with the X. I finished terminating all my rocker switch wires and the rear hatch switch. I highly recommend everyone getting a blue sea fuse block. It cleans up the wiring so well.

did some wheeling this weekend and even played on a black trail. I had a good spotter and only got stuck on my plates and sliders once.



these moguls are easily my favorite part of this trail. they were dug out pretty bad since the first pictures i posted.

No real updates but some much needed trail therapy since Rausch opened this past weekend and I relocated my cb antenna to a proper bracket.

No I ran a short section of a blue and got hung up on a rock right at the top. It was actually wedged between my transmission skid and transfer case. When we went to winch me we accidentally pulled the driveshaft support back! I ended up using by buddies hi-lift and put rocks under my tires to get me out. all buttoned up and protected now.......

Then on our next trip out this past weekend while going through a narrow trail section..


I slid sideways and wedged a tree behind my front tire. The door barely opens for now. I'm dropping it off next week to get fixed
final mod this past week was the easiest and just plain clean looking. It takes 10 minutes to do. I followed Allshookup's write up on that other site. very straight forward.

Fender is all fixed and looks great. I tackled a camp light project for this weekends trip to Virginia to wheel at the Big Dogs event. I'm undecided if I want to add the orange tint to the lights (i've been told the bugs aren't attracted to it as much.

Nice Xterra. We get midges by the billions at our house. Yellow seems to be the best for keeping bugs away, but it’s not 100% foolproof. But it helps.
