Tonight will be a nice dark Pinot noir from our favorite small winery , good deep Smokey taste from being made in old whiskey barrels . And you gotta love a place that the winemaker comes up to the tasting room riding a mini bike covered in dirt from working the field . To me that really says he pours his heart and passion into what he sells. 7AFC851F-11F0-485D-9DCD-64FF876CA157.jpeg

That's cool man! I really need to explore more of these type places around me. We have one brewery close by, another and a meadery opening soon and a whiskey place just across the border I still need to check out. Wine is further north in the flatter land...

Evan Williams green label bourbon. It's cheap here in Northern VA, $20 for 1.75. I know there's better, but something about this just sits right with me. It's my go to. Special occasions, I'll find myself a small batch local. Mmmm....bourbon.

Finished my rye up. Gotta go shopping...
Hey Terry , was reading thru the post's and when you said their's a distillery across the border I decided to see where Covington was and noticed it's straight down 220 from where I used to go deer hunting when I was in my 20's at Jack's mountain next to the town of Monterey. Just a great place to be up in the moutain's looking down at the small town. the gas station sold hunting lic/supplies -check in station- post office local gathering spot really enjoyable. They use to have LOT'S of public land , was wondering if you ever been up that way doing any wheeling ?

I've never done much wheeling up that way but a buddy and I camped up there in March for a Ham radio contest. There was some 4x4 work through the snow to get to our site and it was plenty slick the next day.

It's a neat little town. I like the little diner up there pretty good. Only had a hot dog there but will hopefully be going back this year to compete again.

If you get down here again, let me know.

Well the person I work for every Sat from April thru 1st week of Dec , unless it's rainy and an occasional weekday here and there gave me a 1.75 L bottle of Gran Marnier for a Xmas bonus. I was kinda shocked . Usually I buy the $24 size and drink it myself or share some [ ? ] shot's outta the $48 size. I guess I'll have to lock myself in the basement with this size bottle. At least there are dart board's; a refrigerator; a herd of guitar's and a decent stereo . I could use a hand mounting the urinal over top of the sump pump !! [ no bathroom down there and not a walk out basement ] LOLOLOL :) I forgot to mention there is a bar down there!!

Hey Chug , I gotta plan ! We could petition the U.S. Government for a research grant !! We'll call it the Fremount Fresca Initiative of North America :)
