I love those codes, almost forgot to use one when I ordered coil packs but at the last second caught it. Saved $9 bucks.

I broke this. What is it exactly? And where the hell can I find the assembly for that part so I can fix it?

Junk yard is probably your best bet. It looks like it's for either the fuel pump or the fuel level sender

Is only the connector broken? If you can still connect the two but the problem is that it won't lock together I'd try to zip tie or tape them together as a temp fix. Otherwise I think you'll need sending unit to get that back to normal.

I don't see how I could get them to stay together. And I checked, it is to the fuel pump

Which side of these dumb pieces of crap does the fuel level lever thing go in the fuel tank?

I'm referring to the two hoses and the wire there. I originally thought it was on the left but now I'm not sure. This whole thing is pissing me off

Just got a used arb front bumper to throw onto my 2001 se i just got. Anyways, looks as though they cut the rear mounting points to accommodate a body lift. Is it still good to go mounting to the lower horn holes using the stock bolts?

Do you have any pictures? I'm not familiar with the first gens but maybe we'd be able to tell if they compromised anything.

I attached a picture, if you see after the mounting points it's cut. Based on my research there might have been another area to mount to the body, i believe 1 bolt on each side, but i swear finding a stock photo of this bumper is next to impossible haha. Anyways i think they cut to accommodate a body lift and did not weld new mounting points. I assume the structural integrity of the bumper is reduced if that's the case.

okay i think i figured it out. Looks to be cut and then they created a hole to probably drill into the frame since they cut the ends off to do whatever they did. Once i get it on, i'll be able to figure out if thats the case, either way i have an idea on how i can bolt it in to the tow hook area.

Does anyone else use any other coolant other than the OEM spec coolant, just need to top of my expansion reservoir. I have read the threads about the specific type of inhibitors the OEM style uses, I was gonna top off with Zerex blue coolant.

I used old school Prestone when I put in the CSF rad. No issues.

I have a loose something in my steering that developed today while driving about 600 miles. At one point I noticed the steering wheel was turned about 15 degrees left while going straight. The road was pretty heavily sloped so I didn't think much of it. Then over time it straightened back out. Then it did it again, so while doing about 75 jerked the wheel to the right and back. The wheel got straighter. Did it again, it got even straighter. I repeated this until I was actually able to get the wheel now turned to the right while going straight. At slow speeds I can hear something moving and making noises. The alignment feels like it's changed throughout the day but not that bad. I'm at a campground for the night but fortunately have my impact wrench plus all my tools so I was thinking in the morning I'll hit all the camber bolts and steering rack bolts but besides that I have no idea. Everything minus the rack is basically new OE parts. Anyone have something similar before?

Check your lug nuts? Also check your rear u-bolts...

Good ideas, I didn't even think about those. The whole thing is really weird in that it's so inconsistent. On the highway just going straight for a long time was no issue, pull off to buy gas and get back ok the highway and the steerings crooked. o_O

Glanced back through your build and saw you had a UCA ball joint but come loose recently. Have you double checked those?

Checked everything out this morning and it all seemed ok which is annoying. The only thing I saw that was weird was on the rear left shock, The boot had been pulled up and the tie wrap ripped off at some point which was odd. I thought maybe the shaft had broken but I pulled the boot back and it seemed like it was all right.

I like to mark my cam bolts and uca ball joint positions with paint pens for a quick visual check when I'm working on it btw. Just a thought for the future.

How's your steering joint at the uca mount?

I actually marked all of mine too after the last time they shifted and everything looked like it was where it was I left it. That joint you're talking about I do remember actually tightening about six seven months ago and it took maybe a full turn or turn and a half of tightening which I thought was weird.

Do you think there's any chance it could be something with the tires I know one of the tires on the front was plugged a while back I don't know if one of the cords got damaged on the inside possibly

You might check your tire pressure. If you're running LT tires they can look fine but be under inflated on a light vehicle like a x.

So I pulled over at a gas station and checked the pressures, they were fine but I added a little more air anyway just to see if it mattered. No change, I was still able to do that sharp jerk with the steering wheel and have the straight ahead position of it change. I think with that checked goiout I'mng to focus on the steering column shaft connection to the rack. Hopefully that's replaceable or can be fixed somehow.

Seems to me you should be trying to replicate this odd steering thing while it's not moving and not running. It it's something like a mechanical linkage, it would move, and then you may find it easier.
