Well we just got our first invitation for Thanksgiving dinner today. I want to do something different and stay the ufck home and not have to rush to everyone houses. I am really to the point in life that if people want to see us they can get their happy asses in their cars and drive the 35 - 40 minutes to our house to see us.

I've been there for a long time. Don't make any damn difference. At least I don't have to clean up if it's at someone else's house and I'm making the wife drive this year.

What type of jacket does everyone have? I see a lot of the pleated down jackets but they don't seem to be abrasion resistant and I hate to dump $100+ on a jacket and it not stand up. I've got an old LL Bean duck jacket with felt liner I've had for a while now but I'm wondering what other options are out there.

depends on activity...
What are you wanting to do in said jacket?

I really like my Eddie Bauer jacket, not sure what model it is, I'll check tonight. They got them for us at work a few years ago.

I also picked up a couple Dixxon flanel shirts for layering this weekend. I'm trying to get me cold weather game on point so I can do more outdoors stuff in the winter and stay warmer. I'm on BP meds and can't seem to get warm again once I'm cold so I need to stay ahead of that game in order to enjoy myself in cooler weather.

I might take some time and go though my clothes this week and try to see what I actually have laying around, what needs to leave because it doesn't fit or I don't like it, and what I can work with before I go buying a bunch of new stuff.

spend the money on quality gear. Honestly most of my outdoor kit is Arcteryx bc it’s good shiat, lasts, has a solid warranty and fits the way it should. I also never buy it for full price bc I buy things off season.

No. It's McDonald's. It's garbage all the time and makes your insides bleed.
They had a couple good songs I just don't remember what they are. Just like McDonald's they had a few good sandwiches but I just don't remember what they are. On the subject of their food the have these sandwiches which they release in their test markets that are good but then they do away with them. They did had a mushroom swiss burger that was good then one day they were never seen again.

Well that is a stupid thing to do, it's just gonna go bad sitting on your stove like that. Here, since you clearly want to waste it anyway, I'll flip by, grab it, and put it in my mouth where it will be properly taken care of.
the only thing I left was the picture of the crock pot. the pulled pork inside of it was my dinner and will be lunch tomorrow. the wife made enough to freeze 2 large freezer bags to have possible pulled pork rigatoni ( pasta) or pulled pork sandwiches on a busy night

I too like my Carhartt https://www.carhartt.com/products/carhartt-men-outerwear/Duck-Active-Jac-Quilted-Flannel-Lined-J140 The one I have now still isn't broken in and they tend to feel heavy and stiff until you get some age to 'em but they last forever and if I'm ever in it and cold it's because I didn't wear the right base layers. I paired this jacket with the work bibs, same style and quilted and they are great for standing around camp, the garage drinking beer while your buddy works, etc. although they are cumbersome and if I'm going to be doing anything physical I choose other gear.

I've also got a really nice Spyder motorcycle jacket that I scored at a thrift shop but it doesn't have a hood which is almost a show stopper..

Weird dream was weird.

I dreamt I was in Syracuse but needed to get to FL for some reason. I couldn't find a commercial flight but found a guy who did flights to Florida in his jet all the time. Would cost $400. But he would only take coin payment. It had to be quarters and specifically the NY state quarter lmao
