Jon what pliers do you use? I need a new pair.
I have two multi tools and then I have an unknown brand forceps style I got from my uncle for the gulpers.

The gerber’s are a full size suspension and a gerber dime that some very awesome x’er got me in the secret x’er last Christmas.

I highly recommend the gerber suspension. I have one in each vehicle I own and in my tackle bag. Useful for everything.

Fishing starting to think about picking up around here. Caught 3 within an hour. Can’t wait until the fall transition. Any day now.

The brown trout was a surprise. Hit a small blue gill colored lure when I made a super quick stop at a river for smallies.

different branches and area but, yes.
Trout situate higher up in the watershed? Rock bass lower down where you might have been targeting smallmouth bass?

Those transitional zones where you go from a colder water portion trout stream to a warmer water portion bass and even pike, pickerel, or muskie fishery can sometimes harbour larger trout, especially seasonally. Far fewer trout but the odd one can be big. Bigger on average than what you find upstream.

Was coming back across the state after an early AM meeting. Stopped and hiked up a mountain stream I drove past on way out. Was awarded with two beautiful native brook trout. I love catching brookies.

Is there a way to reduce the number of posts per page on this thread? Pics rarely load anymore on mobile since there are so many. Or a setting I can change for myself?

I agree with jsexton. Fewer posts (pictures) per page would help with loading. Sometimes if I am in a hurry, I just give up.

Posters could also help by reducing the resolution and size of the photos before posting.

P.S. Fromfrontier2Xterra: Cute little brookie! Still getting them in December?

No. Unfortunately that is a limitation of the software. I can reduce it for EVERY thread. But its not individually adjustable.
