First Fill-Up (of many)
I've departed with a lot of equipment, habits, and jargon since I got out, but I still thoroughly enjoy using 550 cord, the smokers jacket, smoking in any type of weather at any time of day, and MOLLE. Anyone else still avoid walking on the grass in official places? haha

Definitely lost some of the jargon. Can't bring myself to walk on the grass. Just can't do it. 550 chord is a staple of life. I keep a couple hundred feet of it in the X. My Woobie (Poncho Liner)! I still have 2 Woobies from when I was in. One is in the first aid kit cutout in the hatch of my Xterra. It's a perfect fit. I recently loaned one out to my buddys wife for her to use while he was in the hospital for a week. She said it was the most comforting blanket she's ever used. And body armor. I have a plate carrier and plates, and I feel weird if it's not readily accessible.

For me since I am still in it’s got to be my med bag. Don’t like to travel with out having my med bag with me. Kind of a black cloud with it but at least I am ready to deal with anything that comes up

Yep. That's another item. I have a few IFAKs. Keep them in the house and cars, and I have a medics kit that I keep stocked and ready to go.
