Currently, the sound of a 1950s vintage steam driven paper machine above my head doing its thing like it has for the last 60 years!

Anybody here old enough to remember the fabulous alternative and very eclectic FM stations in the late 60s and early 70s? I do. I grew up listening to CHOM-FM broadcast out of Montreal. It was but one of many great FM stations across North America.

This streaming station out of northern California is just as good or better. Better actually. You can stream in 320 kbps AAC, FLAC or a range of MP3 formats. The slide show is fabulous.

Classic music, world music, country, folk, blues, jazz, light pop, rock, progressive and modern art rock, lots of musicians from around the world. Lots of terrific, not well-known American and Canadians acts.

The station operates on donations. There are no commercials.
