so.... tonight had a pretty dark start, a horrible crash happened on the interstate today making getting up to Milwaukee a nightmare.see that truck in the pic? even though that driver died, he died a hero, he swerved to avoid the pile up that happened spontaneously in front of him which had he not many more people would have died. i normally dont let bad wrecks like this get to me much, its trucking, shiat happens. but one this bad happening pretty much in my office for lack of a better term, kinda got to me today. what really tore a hole in my heart was all the day shift tanker guys were freaking out because with all that fire, they thought a fuel tanker had to be in it. you have Klemm (my tank line), Kwik Trip, JWI, and the misc companies asking and almost begging other drivers to tell them if they know if it was one of their own or who ever. there is a lot of that brotherhood vibe in this industry cuz you never know what can happen out there.

Damn I dunno if I would be able to make that same sacrifice.

Someone. Explain to me why an ABS sensor for an X with a 226 is $350 ufcking dollars and an ABS sensor for a Titan with THE SAME ufckING AXLE is $20.

Difference in wiring length and plug end? Or the difference in some form of setting?
The tip looks different. It looks almost like a bare circuit board as opposed to the one for the X which is wrapped in plastic. But the wire is actually longer since the truck is wider and the connector is identical.

I'm running these numbers and I can almost build the titan axle up with brand new shiat for just a shade more than replacing one side of my broken shiat. The overage would be labor in getting the gears installed and fab to move the brackets to the right locations. Other than that, shiat is cheap.

Pictures may be of different sides, but like I said. Its the same axle. I'm going to look at the layout of the one I have in the garage and the one that is underneath the truck.

The two parts I need to fix my X: $800-ish. And still have the passenger side that can go out at any minute.

All the parts I need for the Titan rear: $1200 (including 4.56s), plus labor to fab/mount it under the truck, and do the diff work. That's brand new EVERYTHING. Except for the axle tube and the locker. Which is the upgraded 4-spider locker. If I keep the existing axles/bearings that drops the cost to about $900 for parts.

It's irrelevant since I don't have either level of money. But it still sounds like bullshiat.
