What did you use for your hinge on the swing out? I'm trying to get my swingout done before I'm homeless for a few days over the summer
:: shrug ::

It's a Shrockworks bumper. So it came that way. Sorry. I'm not blessed with fab skills. Or time. Or shop space.

Where is my coolant going?

Got a spike on the temp gauge last week. Cracked the radiator and couldn't see any coolant. Radiator took about half a gallon of coolant, and overflow too the same in water. Decided to check it again today and the radiator was low almost a half gallon again. WTF?

Oil is clean, no white smoke, once the coolant starts circulating it crystal clear green. No foreign colors or debris. Can't see any leaks. It's ufcking bizare.

Thats weird. Water pump would show leaks, and I assume you arent billowing smoke or having head gasket related issues. So that is pretty odd.

Have you checked your heater core? May not see any leaks outside but there could be fluid leaking inside the cab.

Currently the lock washers they came with since I didn't have the forethought to get nylocks from home depot today. Given that it'll be at least a week before I can do the other one I may get nylocks before then

Funny though. I took the rear corners off the weekend after I bought the truck. Knowing this was the plan. I guess I was just waiting for @maillet282 to find flush mounts with built in turn signals. Because in reality, this is a really easy job.

That said, I'll have a set of flush mounts to sell here in a minute. Since I bought them new like two years ago.

I did exactly the same thing. A couple years ago and will be selling the uncounted set as well.

What are you using to create a water proof seal for you wires?
A cable gland. I bought a variety pack from Amazon when I did my roof wiring.

After you drill a hole, there is a nut on the back side that pulls the gland tight to the metal, then you wrap the wires in electrical tape so it makes a single cable. From there you slide it through the gland and tighten the outer nut. That crushes a rubber gromit on the wires and creates a water tight seal.

I. Am. ufcking. Livid.

Apparently at some point the passenger side hub was replaced. And the assholes that did the work apparently couldn't get the plug apart for the abs wire. So you know what they did?

ufcking cut it off and twisted the wires together with electrical tape! What the ufck?!

Yeah. That's just a crucial vehicle system. Let's half ass the ufck out of this!

ufck I'm mad. That explains the ABS 4wd problems I've been having. As soon as I found the tape and touched it, one of the wires popped out. Welp. Truck is sitting in pieces at the moment. I can put it back together tonight and just zip tie the wire out of the way. Maybe I'll try to hit the junk yard tomorrow and see if I can find a truck to cut the plug off of.

I absolutely could. But then I've also got to cut the end off of the brand new hub. And if I ever need to do this in the future, I'm again modifying parts to make them work.

The U pull it lot is 10 minutes from my house. It makes more sense to me to go get an OE plug and fix it that way. Will also mean that I'll have extra length on that side. Which will be good for Titan swap.
