Some rewire needs to happen in your steering column. We have a write up in the how-to section. Lemme find.

The process of moving the power feed to the fogs from the headlights to the parking lights accomplishes the same gold.

I just did this today if you never got around to it.
You need 2 add on fuses about 6 bucks for each at autozone.
Pull the F7 (taillights) n F10 (fogs)
Snip the end of the add a fuse and combine.
Load one side with 2(10) fuses for tailights F7 and a 15 fuse for the other side.
Easy and simple
If when you try it, it doesn't work pull out the one that goes in fog lights and pull the fuse and put it in the top position since theres 2 slots.
Hope it helps.

So this makes your fog lights on when parking/tail lights are powered (running lights only or all the way to headlights on. Even if the fog light switch is off?). What happens if you turn on your fog lights with the normal switch on the stalk when you have your headlights on? Would this send 24V to the fog light relay?

Sorry if this question is a dumb one just want to make sure I don't light my truck on fire...

No, so when the normal ways to turn on your fog lights you have to turn on the headlights completely. And when you turn hi beams, fogs turn off.
But if you do this mod, you switch in the headlight once for the day lights and can turn the stalk for the fog and work with the hi beams.

This bypass just helps turn you fogs on without having your headlights on and stay on with hi beams

Did you also modify the headlight switch and add the the relay talked about in the DIY? Or did you just add the jumper in your photo?

When I first did mine I just did the 'always hot' version where you can turn them on no matter what. Big downside is you completely lose the battery saver 'auto-off' feature that's built in. Just turning the headlights off didn't turn the fogs off, I had to also turn the fog switch off. This wasn't ideal for me.

I re-did the mod using the headlight/fog stalk wires with the + wire connected to a relay that's triggered by an Add-A-Fuse on the parking light circuit and the relay runs to the IPDM #85 . This way at a minimum the parking lights have to be on for the fogs to also be on and the fog light switch still works to turn them on/off.

All that's really happening with the rewiring is we're allowing the fog light switch to tell the BCM to turn the fogs on without the built-in precondition that they can only be used with the low beams.
