Agree. The key to a good mashup is floating the lyrics back and forth with each song.
There's used to be a website, turntable.fm. It was like music chat rooms. You could go into a room and listen to music that the users were streaming. There was a "DJ stand" for lack of a better word and 4 users on it at any time. They would rotate playing songs. The people in the room would vote for or against the current song. Too low a score and the user would be removed and someone from the "audience" would be promoted to the stand. Really good way to waste a day.
I digress.
They had a mashup room. I'd sit in that bitch for hours.
