it all depends on what you want to do.
I'm running a "custom" AC lift set up...AC adjustable rear shackles in the middle hole. AC AAL, but only 2 of 3 leafs used, removed the factory overloadleaf but left off 3rd short AAl as I didn't want things to sit to high. AC UCA up front with torsion bars cranked but not set to max. I still have a little rake. Rancho 9000s x4. and Timbren SeS bump stops in the rear. no rear sway bar, didn't fit around the Rancho's
I'm running LT 265/75/16 Falken AT3Ws so roughly a 31.8 tire. no issues. FANTASTIC tire BTW.
I wanted more load carring capacity while not sacrificing ride or flex. I think I won. just drove 4000+ km from Manitoba Canada to NewBrunswick fully loaded, Timbrens were on the axle. rancho's set to max. ride was geat. I didn't even notice I was LOADED. now driving around empty, Timbrens sit about 4inches above the axle and shocks set to med, ride feels the same. body roll takes a little getting used to when empty without the swaybar, but hey its an off road tour truck not a race car. still running factory mud flaps.
my thoughts were that down travel is as, if not more important than up and I didn't want to upset the balance of the truck and wanted things to be as close to factory to avoid wear on things like bearings ect...
I do recommend the Steering enhancement kit from AC while you are at it...
