Not sure where the best place for this inquiry would be but it's on a device in the interior! Anyway I'm currently using Backcountry Navigator on my Pixel and it's nice but I want a larger screen. A buddy at work that participates in desert racing keeps banging on about LeadNav for IOS. Claims a lot of teams are removing their Lowrance hardware for an iPad mount, or at lease in certain cases. Two quick questions- anyone here have any experience with LeadNav? What software are you guys running for trail maps/recording?

Thanks!

Well the iPad that I borrowed from a buddy (pre-purchase) is a Wi-Fi only model, so I would have to pick up a GPS receiver for the software (LeadNav) to actually work. While working on something in the garage I noticed I still have a Galaxy Tab in my toolbox hutch. This model is cell-ready so it's got the GPS chip built in. I'm going to give BC Nav a try on that and see if this older model Tab will work properly. I mean I don't see why not as my average speed is going to be around 10mph.
