I only kept one who was a no-brainer. This is my first keeper league, and I'm really curious to see how the draft will shape up now that although some players aren't available to be drafted, it also means that fewer players will come off the board from forfeited draft picks.

The same amount of players come off the board. There's just less of the top options available at the top because their being kept. It rewards good drafting.

I don't know about that. A lot of my people were high draft choices last year and I would lose big draft positions by keeping them.

Well, my PC decided to have absolutely zero power and will not turn on at all. Praise Baby Jesus that my new smart tv has a web browser and is compatible with the draft system. Here's to hoping it all goes smooth

[h=3]Draft Summary[/h]It was almost too hard to watch as Brady's Balls took the fifth pick and drove any playoff hopes they had right off a cliff. They are projected to finish 3-11-0 (1,783), bad enough for an 11th-place finish in PigskinXNation League. They used a conservative plan early to fill out their lineup, selecting QB Russell Wilson (20th overall), RBs Marshawn Lynch (5th) and Joseph Randle (44th), and WRs Mike Evans (29th) and Keenan Allen (53rd). They put together one of the bottom groups of RBs in the league, as they added Lynch, Randle, Reggie Bush, and Tre Mason.
We're not mad. We're just disappointed. Go nominate yourself for the Toyota Hall Of Fame to make it up to us.
[h=3]Keeper Summary[/h]Brady's Balls chose to use none of their three keeper spots, instead leaving their fantasy fate solely in the hands of the draft.
[h=3]Schedule[/h]Brady's Balls should use Week 6 to finally build that mini trainyard. Really just about anything other than checking fantasy football will do. They have five players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the entire season, they have a tougher-than-average schedule. Despite having the fifth-most grueling overall schedule, Brady's Balls actually has the easiest first four games of the season.

[h=3]Draft Notes[/h]
  • WR or BustWR is the only above-average position group for Brady's Balls.
  • Close to the VestBrady's Balls was focused on a squad with minimal risk, grabbing seven "low-risk" players out of 16 picks.
  • Defense Wins Championships?Brady's Balls chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.
  • No Back-Up NecessaryGoing with just a single TE (Jordan Cameron) and K (Dan Bailey), Brady's Balls opted to add depth at other positions.
  • A Stretch of the ImaginationGrabbing Tim Tebow at pick 188 was, let's say, conceptually adventurous. Tebow is owned on just a handful of rosters across all Yahoo! leagues.
  • Mr. IrrelevantIn terms of projected points, the choice of Tim Tebow with the 188th pick gave Brady's Balls the worst pick of the final round. This Mr. Irrelevant gets no parade, unfortunately.

Led by Two Steelers, Not Kyle's Team Should Have Attempted to Draft Players That are Good
Draft Summary

Despite selecting in the top half of the first round (fourth overall), Not Kyle's Team might as well have been blindly heaving darts at the draft board to decide their picks. Opponents are going to enjoy beating this team, which is projected to finish 10th in PigskinXNation League with a record of 4-10-0 (1,814 points). They went with a balanced approach early, selecting QB Ben Roethlisberger (21st overall), RB Joique Bell (52nd), WR Antonio Brown (4th), and TE Greg Olsen (28th) within the first five rounds. They put together the bottom group of RBs in the league, as they added Bell, Shane Vereen, Ryan Mathews, and Matt Asiata.

We're not mad. We're just disappointed. Go nominate yourself for the Toyota Hall Of Fame to make it up to us.

Keeper Summary

Not Kyle's Team made use of two of their three keeper slots to retain Anquan Boldin (104.8 ADP) and Matt Asiata (110.4 ADP). On average, their two keepers are slightly more valuable (by 0.3%) than the draft picks that they replaced.
Schedule

Week 9 will not be fun for Not Kyle's Team, as their top two projected scorers (Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger) will be off with byes. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a harder-than-average slate. Along with the sixth-most grueling overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are about league-average difficulty for Not Kyle's Team.
Draft Notes

Captain Obvious

Selecting starting RBs should be a simple task most weeks for Not Kyle's Team, as the projected point difference between their second-ranked (Shane Vereen) and third-ranked (Ryan Mathews) RBs is significant.
Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Not Kyle's Team drafted top-3 players at four different positions, including Antonio Brown, Greg Olsen, and Matt Bryant.
Senior Citizen Discount

With an average of 7.7 years of NFL experience, Not Kyle's Team is the team most likely to have a player become a grandpa.
You Snooze, You Lose

While the rest of the league slept on Breshad Perriman, Not Kyle's Team pounced on him at pick No. 172.
Take One Play Off and He Burns You

Brandon Coleman is a classic deep-ball weapon, ranking third among NFL WRs in percentage of receptions over 40 yards (7.4%).
Not Kyle's Team Went All YOLO Here

Grabbing Matt Asiata at pick 148 was just a bit of a stretch. Asiata is owned on only a few rosters across all Yahoo! leagues.

Come at me bro. Come at me.

You edged me out for the top draft grade... Overall, I'm much more happy this year than I was with last year's draft. Week 5 may be challenging for me, but I'll make it work

[h=1]In Spite of Some Early-Round Reaches, Cecil's not dead Is a Team to Watch Out For[/h]
toyota_logo.jpg

[h=3]Draft Summary[/h]Playoffs?! Are you kidding me, playoffs?! Actually, yeah that could happen. Cecil's not dead put together a quality team and is projected to finish in fifth-place in PigskinXNation League at 9-5-0 (1,887 points).
Not bad, but you've still got room for improvement. Becoming a Toyota Hall Of Famer would certainly qualify. Nominate yourself now.
[h=3]Keeper Summary[/h]Cecil's not dead made use of all three of their keeper slots, but neglected ball-carriers. Among their keepers, none were RBs. On average, their three keepers are marginally more valuable (by 9.6%) than the average draft picks that they replaced.
[h=3]Schedule[/h]Week 9 might require some waiver-wire magic from Cecil's not dead, as their top two projected scorers (Andrew Luck and Julio Jones) will be resting that weekend. Looking at the entire season, they have a less-challenging-than-average slate. Cecil's not dead has the opportunity to come out firing, as the first four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

[h=3]Draft Notes[/h]
  • Positional FortitudeCecil's not dead has four positions that are better than league average. While RB, K, and DEF are projected to be good, QB is the strongest on Cecil's not dead.
  • Separating the Wheat from the ChaffCecil's not dead drafted top-3 players at four different positions, including Andrew Luck, Julio Jones, and Stephen Gostkowski.
  • Defense Wins Championships?Cecil's not dead chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.
  • Basic Math is OptionalMichael Vick once claimed "I have two weapons; my arms, my legs and my brain.” With 530 projected rushing yards, Marcus Mariota can channel his inner Vick to help Cecil's not dead this year.
  • Digging DeepMohamed Sanu is owned in only 2% of all Yahoo! leagues, but will surely reward Cecil's not dead for their faith! Or not.
