So deep orange talcum powder-Like sand is fun... Things were great at the start of the trail but it got softer and softer until in this corner we just buried it... At least the wife has been good and stuck now. I doubt sand will ever stop coming out of the air vents. This was in Overton Dunes...

Youre just not seeing it yet. You’ll get it, dont get frustrated, The locking ring goes in front of the fan, not behind it. (I know it sounds completely wrong to you) The fan holds it from sliding back and the collar that clicks down over both, holing the locking ring between fan housing and the...

LOL, youre not wasting my thread, dont worry about that. Dont cut anything yet, maybe someone with the same lights will chime in.

Then that assembly fits into the headlight housing and locks with the OEM retaining ring. Hope this helps, LEDs were a huge improvement for me.

Then the collar with the larger o-ring slides on in the opposite direction from same end (like a top hat) and twists to the light element to lock. (Yours has he locking pin/ball bearing to click)

I have cheap knock off versions of your lights , but they assemble the same. Here are my parts numbered to match your parts. You need to slide #1 the OEM locking ring over the light assembly #2 (not the fan end), with the larger end facing the light element itself.

You’re doing right, just in wrong order. The locking ring (1) goes over the light end (2) Instead of the fan end, before the collar with the large o-ring. (3) When its assembled the fan end will be outside the narrow end of the locking ring.

The light end will come apart so you can install the collar. Twist it counter clockwise and the “bulb” end will disconnect from white collar on the base with fan. Took some fiddling for me to figure out too. After being in, the locking ring is kinda loose, I’d check them from time to time, as...

3.13 Gear Ratio And 33" Tire

I just went from 265/70r16 Geolanders, to heavier Mudstar M/ts in 285/65R16 with 3.13 gears. Its slower to start and heavier to stop but drivability and fuel economy were only negligible changes. By odometer I lost about 15miles of range on the new tires, mostly in city and off road driving.
