Reason I ask is I am an owner of a 1988 300zx turbo , it is really quite common for owners of the 80's Z to swap in a VG33 add a turbo and get a really big power boost 400+ hp and Tq. Just wondering if many here have made that jump.

I have been looking at an xterra 2007 off road owner says that he has done a compression test and that was in spec but also admits to burning 3 quarts of oil for every 4000 miles . I think he has a blow by problem ( rebuild ) what do you guys think ? its 170,000 miles for 6,000
