So, months later.... I removed the belt, checked the tensioner pulley assembly, no play. Put the belt back on and it still makes noise between 2.5K and 3.5K. If I accelerate hard, I get a higher pitched whine, like a whistle. Any ideas?

Checking for play was on my mind to do when I changed the belt, but somehow slipped.

Update. I replaced the drive belt and the noise is almost gone. I checked and the belt seems to be centered, but the noise is faint. Could the tensioner be bad? Or a pulley? If so, which one most likely?

As a follow-up, I initially wanted to replace the ball joints because, according to the mechanic doing my state inspection, they were bad. I was wary that they were (new lca put on last year). Downloaded the state vehicle inspection manual, raised up the X, and couldn't find how I failed with...

Thanks for the video. I put in new Mevotech lca's (and the rest of my suspension) from Rock Auto last summer, maybe have 18k on them, but don't see what could have screwed them up so soon. Could the bushings still be good, or most likely the same wear that destroyed the ball joints would also...

I need to press out and replace my lca ball joints. What are the things I should be disconnecting at a minimum? Do I need to remove the axle to get to it?

Replaced the sensor; so far after 8 miles no code. Replaced a NGK I bought off Amazon with a NGK bought at Advance Auto. I'll see what more miles do.

After changing the FR wheel, I cleared old codes and rescanned with my BlueDriver. Now I'm getting C1103 (FR sensor 1), C1104 (FL sensor 1), C1163 (steering angle safe mode), C1203 (ABS system), and P1856 (VDC system). Ugggh. Don't know why I'd be getting a C1104 when I just replaced the...

Yeah, only happens when moving. I'm certain it's not the timing chain. The whine intensity doesn't change with the rpms.

I replaced the front left wheel assembly, and nothing changed. I still have the ABS/VDC/Slip lights, still makes a high-pitched whine, and also hearing a whoomp-whoomp-whoomp sound.

I've also noticed the tires moves considerably at 3-and-9, but not noticeable at 12-and 6. Tie rods? Just tie rods or that and wheel bearing?

That's my primary culprit. Was checking and ruling out everything else, because looking at how-to's and the FSM, it seems like a pain to replace.
