Anyone play pc games? I did about 3 years back I logged many many days on COD4 and Counter Strike Source! I haven't played in years but I decided tonight to install Counter strike on my macbook pro!

I'm the nerd that prefers classics like Under a Killing Moon, X-Com, and Quest for Glory. I've played some of the RTS stuff like Warcraft and Command and Conquer, but can't really get into them. I really can't get into the FPS stuff.

counter strike is free...I used to be pretty amazing at it! I was that classic 15 year old kid who had a ton of free time. Back in the day I could destroy som people with a awp/scout and a desert eagle :D

CSS is run on steam so if you have it say so and ill friend you.

i have source aaron. but if your an old school 1.5 player like myself. source is broken as F***. hit boxes etc just not good game play. promod is the same way. i have beta for it also. and capt that's my exact thoughts also. least you don't have to pay monthly like world of warcraft. and they say they made it for casual gaming.

I played WOW from Beta testing through Wrath, at that point I thought it pretty much ran it's course. I think now would I rather spend time and money on a new game or on my X. The X always wins lol

Avid PC gamer here. Play all sorts of games. Current list is Mass Effect 2, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and Supreme Commander 2 (with friends on Friday nights). Recently played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dragon Age (for the 2nd time), STALKER: Call of Pripyat, and did some open beta weekends with Star Wars the Old Republic MMO. Use to play Counter Strike with a friend who had a personal dedicated server setup. The Source engine update broke his server, and we have not played since.
I play FPS, role playing, and a few RTS games (just Supreme Commander series really). I also play some console games (my kids love going against me in Halo). I don't usually buy games for myself untily they are under $30, but will put them on my wish list, so I get new releases now and then.

I'm a DOTA2 nerd currently. If you every played Warcraft 3 you've prob seen it before. It branched off and made it's own deal. It's like League of Legends and Heroes of Newarth, except this was the original. I play some BF2 and Vindictus every now and then as well. I have 6 copies of DOTA2 I can give away over Steam if anyone is interested in trying it. Just let me know.

I tried Counter Strike today. I know a lot of people love it but to me, it was the most boring shooter I've ever played. Just not my game I guess.

Heard it's a glorified WoW....the trailers are pretty beast, though...

IMO, Blizzard demolished WoW more than strengthen it. They catered too much to the "casual crowd". I'm sorry but little jimmy who plays for 2 hours twice a week shouldn't have the same equipment and relics as Sean, who has called out of work for 4 straight days raiding Black Temple and Mount Hyjul. That pissed me off. I was in a top raiding guild on my server one of the first few to down Illidan, only to have him nerfed a couple months later so Scrub factories of kids could come in and kill him with Heroics gear and no strat.

i agree, took a lot out of it for me awhile ago thats why i quit. i liked it when you actually had to try to be good. ill take vanilla all day.
