March 2012 is officially here and we are in the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] month of the year for YourArizona Xterra Club! The first two months of 2012 have been record smashing; we are currently at 160 members for the AZXC. Each month we are doubling or sometimes almost tripling the number of page views we receive, topping the 50,000 number each month so far this year! Hope you are as excited as we are to be a part of AZXC this year!

In March there are a few things going on! “Montana Mountain 1 Year Later” camping/wheeling Xcursion March 17 and 18, followed by the Annual AZXC Chili Cook-Off March 24. If you have not signed up for these events or have any questions please check out the forum for more information.

We have even started planning out April! In April T-Ray will be hosting a “Wheeling 101 & 202 Class”. This weekend event is scheduled for April 14 & 15. This Xcursion and introduction to wheeling will also feature camping overnight. This is a great time to develop confidence in what the Xterra can do, or hone your skills for goneMOAB in May.

Speaking of goneMOAB, it’s less than two and a half months away! AZXC is proud to sponsor this event for the first time this year! If you have not had an opportunity to attend goneMOAB and have the ability to do so, then make sure you do! This is an annual pilgrimage to Moab, Utah for a week full of wheeling on epic trails, seeing old friends and meeting new friends. This is truly an opportunity that can’t be missed. We have started a “caravan” thread for AZ to Moab, Utah, so if you wish to drive in the caravan to slick rock Mecca of Utah make sure you sign up!

As always please thank our awesome sponsors: 4x4Parts, PIAA, Rock Auto, Xoskel, Hunter Off-Road, Expeditioneers, and partsGeek. Please check out these sponsors when you are getting ready for any of the AZXC Events, goneMOAB, or just need something for your rig. Don’t forget to become a supporting member if you haven’t already done so for 2012!

See you out on the trails and remember to Tread Lightly!

As always if you have any questions email us at info@azxterraclub.com

Well we are underway with March. First week of the month has been quiet allowing all of us to recoup from the busiest February we have on record. Now with that let’s get to it for March.

“Montana Mountain 1 Year Later” is coming up in a little over a week. March 16 is when this “official” Xcursion will commence. The weekend is packed full of camping, wheeling and other activities. A little history of why we are calling it “1 Year Later”; this is where 11Pro4X got started with his Xterra. The members of AZXC all came together to show the capability of the Xterra and had a fun filled weekend in 2011, so we are going to continue the tradition “1 Year Later” If you have concerns about this trail, it is two wheel drive friendly. Feel free to join us even if it is only for part of the weekend. Check out the forum for more information on activities and exact direction to the camping spot!

The Saturday (March 24) following the official Xcursion is the Annual AZXC Chili Cook-Off. Bring some chili and enter the competition or just hang out and enjoy some good company, shop talk, and CHILI! Bring the kids, bring the dog, bring a kite, it should be a great day to be outside! First place will receive a $50 gift certificate to RockAuto.com and second place will receive $25. At the cook-off we will have door prizes from 4x4 Parts. We will also be holding the giveaway for the PIAA 510 ATP light set, so be sure to enter the raffle at www.azxterraclub.com.
As for RockAuto.com, if you need parts for your rig or anything other vehicle in your driveway, make sure you check them out! They are offering AZXC members a 5% discount on parts. Just use code E38AF35FC7B2 in the “How Did You Hear About Us” section when you check out with your order to get your 5% discount!

Don’t forget check out the other awesome sponsors we have with AZXC.

AZXC will be making T-shirts! We are currently getting a count of how many members want one. Check out AZXC T-Shirt thread on the forum for more information and to post the number of shirts you want.

That’s it for this update and if you haven’t signed up for Wheeling 101 & 202 hosted by T-Ray, make sure you do!

Just a quick update for the middle of March;

Don’t forget that we have the “Montana Mountain 1 Year Later” Xcursion this weekend. If you just realized you haven’t signed up, make sure you get on it. Meeting spot and location are on the forum, check it out. If you can only make it for part of the weekend, come on down. The following Saturday is the Annual AZXC Chili Cook-Off. Again more information is found on the forum.

In April we have our first ever Wheeling 101 & 202 going on! Wonder what your Nissan is capable of? Come check this event out! Special thanks to T-Ray for hosting this “class”.

goneMOAB is coming up in 2 months! Make sure you are getting your Nissan ready for this epic annual trip to the wheeling mecca! This is also the first year that we are sponsoring this pilgrimage. Check out the forum for information on the caravan from Arizona to Moab.

We have quite a few new members to AZXC. If you wish to become a supporting member of AZXC and be able to enter raffles, receive an AZXC iconic sticker, and receive access to an exclusive section of the forum, just click the “Donate via Paypal “link. We thank you in advance for supporting your Arizona Xterra Club.
Please also thank the sponsors of AZXC, they are the ones who provide us with all the amazing raffle prizes, give-a-ways, and discounts on parts for our Nissans.

If you have any questions feel free to email us at info@azxterraclub.com

Here's the latest update!
------------------------------------------------------

With a little over a week left in the month of April, what a month it will be to remember! We are on track to break over 65,000 hits to our forum this month, while approaching 180 members. It for sure will be in one for the record books!

We want to say thank you to everyone who participated in “Wheeling 101 & 202.” Hope everyone got a chance to learn a little about their trucks and there capability. Special thanks to Ryan from Expeditioneers for bringing out his Toyota FJ Cruiser and wheeling with AZXC!

This weekend the temperatures will be heating up and breaking the triple digit mark in a lot of places in the state. Summer is here if we like it or not! Please carry extra water with you when out on the trails, at an Xcursion, or doing any activity outside. Most of us have been around these temperatures in the past, but we do have some new folks around; so we cannot stress the importance of staying hydrated.

AZXC also have a few “MOD” days coming up. We hope to see everyone out at one of those. Also if you ordered T-Shirts and have not received yours, you will be able to pick them up at this weekend’s “MOD” day. Check out the forum for the more information on this Sunday’s and future “MOD” days.

goneMOAB is less than a month away. AZXC as you remember is sponsoring this event for the first time! It’s not only a good time to check the following for gone, but for good preventative maintenance; engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant, windshield wiper fluid, fan belts, hoses, air filter, seat belts, tire air pressure, for any tire wear or damage, tighten drive shaft u-bolts and lug bolts, check your for frame cracks, brake pads & shoes, for any loose bolts or nuts, grease all fittings, check all gear oils, winch (if necessary) and lastly check your shocks.

Please remember to always Tread Lightly and stay safe when out in the heat!

Well we are in May, the month for Moab! April was a record breaking month for AZXC with the number of hits to the website along with how many members we currently have! Thank you to everyone who makes your Arizona Xterra Club such a success.

There are a few events planned this month; such as one last MOD day and a member organized trail run. The huge event as you all know is goneMoab. As mentioned before AZXC is proud sponsor for the first time ever and it’s sure to be an epic goneMoab. We would like to thank Kevin and Josh the organizers of goneMoab for all their hard work over the years to put on such a great event! It has truly been an outstanding time, for the latest information on this event check out www.gonemoab.com.

With all the new members surfacing daily, please do not forget to become a supporting member of AZXC. We use these funds to give back to the community, and the Toys for Tots Fat Tire Bike Run is quickly approaching! We would like to give a record breaking donation this year! Along with donations throughout the community we use these funds to sponsor events such as goneMoab or CANVAZ, but locally for trail runs, bbqs, and MOD days. It’s pretty easy to become a supporting member just click the donate tab at the top of the forum page, or bottom of the AZXC Homepage (www.azxterraclub.com).
We would also like to say thank you to all of our supporting vendors of AZXC.

These are the companies that donate products or offer exclusive discounts to us as members! Without the supporting members working in conjunction with the supporting vendors we would not have grown in the past 5 months like we have. For that we would like to thank Boulder Nissan, PIAA, Xoskel, RockAuto, Expeditioneers, 4x4Parts, Partsgeek, and Hunter Off-Road.

Moab May is at its mid-point and the Arizona Caravan rolls out in a few days! This annual pilgrimage is an epic event and your Arizona Xterra Club is excited to be a sponsor for the first time! Details on the caravan and this annual event can be found on the AZXC forum or www.gonemoab.com.

Mark your calendars; June 9th is the next scheduled AZXC meeting. The location will be Tilted Kilt at the corner of Kyrene and Warner in Tempe. If you would like to discuss a topic for this meeting let your officers know so they can add it to the agenda. We will be discussing sponsorship of the Fat Tire Toys for Tots Bike Ride.

Keep in mind that Fire Restrictions started this week. Please make sure you are complying with these restrictions as you are out and about on the trails. We would like to thank AZ-Ted for keeping us up to date on these restrictions and being our ambassador to the BLM.

As the temperatures heat up during the day time, we will be bringing back the “Night” runs that were popular last year. If you have an idea for a location of a night run post it up on the forum.

Thank you to T-Ray your secretary/treasurer for straightening out our tax exempt status with the IRS. It has been a long road getting that back on track.

As always thank you to the supporting vendors and supporting members of AZXC! If you have not become a supporting member of AZXC and want to support your club, just email us if you have questions.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone on AZXC! Please remember those who have served to protect our freedom and the many who continue to do so! We have many members of AZXC that have served or currently serve, so for that we thank you!

The Arizona goneMOAB crew has returned from a week in Moab! It was a great week without too much damage to the trucks. Nothing to crazy though, a few tires shredded, little bit of body damage, and a blown half shaft. All in all it was a great representation from Arizona this year on the trails.

Special thank you goes out to the folks from Boulder Nissan. They were out on the trails with the AZXC crew. Thank you again for the continued support of the Arizona Xterra Club!

As we now continue on with the epic 2012 with AZXC, there are a few more events coming up! First all we have a meeting coming up on Saturday June 9th. Information on location and time can be found on the forum. Hope to see everyone out that day. If you would like any topic discussed please get in touch with your officers.

The following month, in August is the “Fat Tire Bike Ride.” It has been a long standing tradition that the Arizona Xterra Club provides the support vehicles for this event. The dates are set for August 4 & 5. This is a charity mountain bike ride for Toys for Tots from Flagstaff Arizona to the Grand Canyon. We provide the vehicles on the side of the trail and make sure everyone gets through the trail safely. If you have any questions, please post them up on the forum.

Again; thank you to all who have served and continue to serve, Happy Memorial Day!

So the bad news is the last back up that was done wasnt able to load. Talking with gobbleaddy they said the file is missing some info that made it unable to load. So unless there is a more current file out there we will have to start from here.

For all those members that joined between Jan 17th and current we will need you to resign up. If there is any members that have any issues please contact Ben or myself via email or PM.

Hello AZXC;

Well this year is almost over and what a year it has been! Everything is finally settling down and we have a ton of great news for everyone. We need everyone’s help though.

First news to report is that we have finally gotten our non-profit status with the IRS back. Thanks to Jason and his wife for working all the angles on this project. Jason has also been working with Avi to get the by-laws rewritten and working on that project. Stay tuned for information on that.

There are a few events coming up; first and foremost is another “End of the Year/Kick Off Run” that is scheduled for Sunday, December 30th. Make sure you check out the forum for information on this run. We hope to see a great showing again this year. Before the run is a “mod” day that is scheduled as well. This is a great opportunity to come hang out, work on your truck, get some insight on the Xterra, and put those holiday mods on your rig. Information for this is also posted on the forum.

We would also like to thank all of you who have stuck by the chaos over the past year. And, we need your help! Check the forum regularly and participate. We lost quite an amount of information on the forum from threads, to posts and other information. If you see anything missing or think it should be on the forum…post it up!

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season. 2012 is almost over and 2013 is right around the corner. Let’s keep this as the premier Xterra club! Thank you again for everyone’s support.

Happy New Year from AZXC! Well the New Year is here and we are in our 13th year as AZXC.

We held our 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] annual Kick-Off Run on December 30[SUP]th[/SUP]. The run this year took us the Back Way to Crown King. What an adventure it was. About 5500feet up the mountain is started snowing. We went from partly cloudy skies in the valley to a snow storm up in Crown King. Pictures can be found on the forum.

In 2013 we are making more of an effort to expand the club to include all Nissan trucks. Throughout our history we have welcomed anyone to come to events we held but this year we are making more of an effort to include everyone. January 19, 2013 is our first meeting of 2013. We will be discussing a lot of topics so make sure you mark you calendars and we will see you at the meeting. Details can be found on the forum.

2013 Dues deadline is January 31, 2013. Make sure if you are a supporting member of AZXC you renew by this date. Go on the forum and click the donate tab, or you can pay these at the upcoming meeting.

The AZXC team is also working on new sponsors for 2013. Stay tuned for exciting changes coming this year.
