Hey guys,

Thought this would be a cool idea, searched for it and don't know if anyone started it or not. Thought we could get a on-going thread sharing what kind of music we enjoy, see who has similar tastes as well, maybe finding something you've never heard of before. Any type of music is welcome.

I Currently Enjoy Mostly Heavy Metal (Metalcore,Death,Doom,Epic). My top 5 Bands right now are:
1. Blood Stain Child
2. Demon Hunter
3. The Agonist
4. Soilwork
5. Straight Line Stitch

I go in all directions with music. I have a thumb drive in the truck that has everything from bluegrass flatt and scruggs to Ozzy...I am occasionally torchered to death with more heavy stuff due to having teenagers but for the most part we are down right redneck country!
Just a few of my favorites..
Jamey johnson
Brantley Gilbert
Lee Brice
Jason aldene
Kip Moore
Pistol Annies

And for my more redneck friends....

Colt Ford
Jawga Boys
Young Gunner

Haha I go polar opposites with my Music, I've always loved metal and death metal. However after I moved down to FL I've started listening to a lot of Christian Kane, Zane Lewis, Dierks Bentley and others. I like colt Ford, however some of his stuff leans more towards ganster rap which I'm not fond of.

I think there's 2-3 versions of that song, similar to "My Kind of Party" Brantley Gilbert writes a lot of songs for people I've noticed. I don't mind that song, I'm not a fan of like "Mud Diggers" and songs similar to that.
I don't mind the electronica stuff, I'm very picky though, not into the "WubWUBWUBWUBWUWBWUWW" stuff, I prefer Armin Van Buuren, Celldweller, Blue Stahli, Razed in Black.

I used to love Pandora. Recently the ad's started screwing it all up, they would just start playing right in the middle of a song. I switched to Spotify and so far it's been good, plus I can search specific songs like on Grooveshark and not get crappy quality stuff.

Stupid phone....I wasn't suppose to submit yet! Anyway, he also thought when he was driving he should be in control of what music we listen too. I (being the cool mom I am) thought I would go out of my mind teaching him how to drive. I wasn't sure what was worse, the mini heart attacks from his driving or his music! Thank goodness the music was just a phase. We are all on the same page again :)

I love heavy metal. I can't STAND the mainstream radio crap they play these days that they call "Rock" and "Metal" it's all garbage, every now and then a decent band slips through but then they go famous and change their style totally for mass appeal. 90% of artists of all genre's have no talent these days and it's all auto toned lip synching. I love Melodic Death metal for the instrumental verses and breakdowns more than the singing. Honestly, some bands (Demon Hunter) for instance, has clean and dirty vocals however if you look up the lyrics, he sings about some strong stuff. Just my 0.02 though on the case.

Ha...I have never even heard of most of this stuff. Ill be in the truck a while tomorrow. Maybe ill tune in just to see what it is. Bluetooth and pandora (or I heart radio) are a must for travel. I haven't listened to the real radio for probably 6 months.

I only listen to the actual radio when I'm in the truck for 2-3 minutes, otherwise I hook up my phone for pandora or mp3's myself.

I've been listening to the Misfits lately. Ever listen to 7 Seconds? I have an eclectic lo-fi penchant. Scott Biram, Bob Log III, etc. How about Monster Magnet, L7, Soledad Brothers, anything with Jack
white in it. New Order is awesome. How about the Sisters of Mercy? What would be a good example of psychobilly? That sounds interesting. Is that bands like the Lee County Killers?

Does anybody, except me, listen to really relaxing, almost ambient music? I have a few songs I have found that are good for relaxing; mostly acoustic works by no-name people that may have electronic remixes or something. I dunno, whenever I ask someone about it they're always wondering what that elevator/Weather Channel music I'm listening to is.
