Halo 4 is scheduled for release on November 6, 2012.

I'll be ready.

Use this thread for Halo discussion, setting up gaming times with other Xers and posting up everything Halo.

I saw that trailer yesterday and had to gather up my jaw when it was over. Looks like 343 didn't drop the ball, as so many of us feared.

Having never had an original Xbox, Halo 3 was my intro to the series. Since then, i played through ODST and Reach, then I picked up the Anniversary release of Halo 1 when it came out for the 360. At that point I felt I needed to know the whole story, so I borrowed Halo 2 from a friend. I finished it a week ago. Since it had been five years since I played 3, I played it last Saturday, all the way through in about 8 hours. You could say I am very anxiously awaiting November 6, and not because of the election.

I'm a newb. Didn't have an XBOX until J sold me his old one. Reach is my first Halo game and I loves it. Haven't played it as much as I'd hope to, with the 68hrs of work each week, it's hard to get on.

I haven't played my xbox enough lately to even garner keeping it BUT there are a couple of games such as this one that may draw me back in. I played Halo on the original xbox and each subsequent one after that. My best friend and I used to enter halo 2 and 3 doubles tourneys and do pretty decent. I've fell a long way since then.

I also highly recommend Borderlands 2.

Kelly, what's your Gamertag? I'm Evolucion7. I won't be on tonight, but I'll be back home tomorrow.

And Mac, even if you don't really play many games, the next Xbox update that comes down the pipe is going to turn the console into nearly unbeatable media hub, if it wasn't already filling that role for you. I've been part of the restricted beta test for a month now, and it's excellent. The 360 is finally getting a web browser! I mean, it's Internet Explorer, but it's better than nothing. Plus, all of the movies, TV shows, and music purchasing is being streamlined, and they're adding streaming channels like Crackle and CrunchyRoll (think NetFlix, but all anime and free!) and other new stuff all the time.

That's interesting. I'll have to jump on and check it out after the update.

Maybe send me a message on Live reminding me who you are, in case I forget lol. I try to sign on several times a week to get challenges done.

Bought Halo 4 Tuesday and couldn't put it down. Beat it on normal that same night, now I'm working on Legendary forgot how big a PITA Legendary is.

I only played enough to get through the fifth mission. It just isn't holding my interest as much as Borderlands 2, which I still haven't finished. And now I'm at work for a week, so I won't get to play again until Tuesday. Think I'll go ahead and push to finish Halo so i can get back to Borderlands.

Gone through on Heroic so far and I'm SR35 online. Pretty fun game, but as usual, I feel my IQ drop with every game I play.

The Flood game type, which took over Alpha Z, is pretty fun.

I'm not good enough with pistols and such. I'm the guy that averages about 8 kills a game.

I signed back on with game fly and they have finally shipped me a copy of Halo 4! Now to just wait on the mail. I won't be online unless I find a good deal on a short term xbox live setup.

I have never played any of the games but I follow the universe through the novels (just read The Thursday War, sort of a direct prequel to Halo 4).

Is it odd that I drive around in the Warthog on open multiplayer maps to wheel it and try out it's crawling capabilities? I really want to get the Master Chief Collection for Xbox One, but this would require me to buy an Xbox One

yeah, i'm going to have to break down and get a One for that set and halo 5. They are releasing a white XBONE soon. There might even be a halo/spartan themed one coming out with the Master Chief collection.
