What year Xterra's have the same back door (tailgate) as the 2004 to do a swap.

When I bought my used X the previous owner back into something and hit the rear top center windshield squirter dead on. Thinking of just replacing the whole door instead of trying to fix since damage is right on frame top area.
Thanks

Any rear hatch from 2000-2004 will fit. I've never swapped a hatch, but i bet its easier than fixing damage in that area.

Where are you located? Several yellow X's being parted in the Dallas, Texas area it seems.

Currently in Florida working for the hurricane cleanup but once done I will fly to Boise then drive down to Houston going thru Dallas to get there. Not sure of eta but will definitely see if they are still parting out. Thanks!

So wait..... Do you live in Texas, or Boise?

Also, I can't imagine swapping hatches would be all that difficult.

Will do. Have done some excellent back woods tough to get to camp outs over the years, mostly in a 87 4runner I gave up in early 2020 replacing with the xterra.
Fingers crossed its a cheap fix for the X which is in a storage facility in Boise near the airport until my work in florida ends. It died on my 85 miles away on highway 20 and had it towed to the storage unit then ubered straight to airport. Felt like it just ran out of gas even though still 3/4 in tank. Think it is the fuel pump but not sure until I return and get it to a mechanic. Happy Tday

If you want, I'd be willing to help ya out. I have a really trustworthy shop that I deal with, that's reasonably priced as well. They do solid work, and only use quality parts.

OK I will let you know when they kick me out of florida once work is eventually completed. I have contacted several places near the storage place that had good diagnostic prices to hopefully quickly figure out the issue.
I used up my free tow with Geico from where it broke down and they said they cannot free tow from the place they dropped it off to. So goal is to find a place not too far away so towing costs are low. Had to already spend $75 for the free tow mileage overage.

I've got a buddy with a full size RAM 2500. If you'd be willing to rent a flatbed dolly for a day, I might be willing to talk him into helping me tow it to a shop.
