I'm the inquiring mind..

Without buying or building a contraption the lowest I can get my smoke is 125° freedom units.
I use the A-Maze I think its called. has 4 slots for chips/pellets. Each row is about 1.5 hours. One can start both ends for really thick smoke. I just use one end.
This results in NO HEAT smoke. Or very little due to Ember smouldering to produce smoke. NO FLAMES.

One could use the smoke stack, with added Dryer alum Tubing for directing the smoke into a box of sorts.. But would need to watch temps.

Screen type, or Tube type is Poor mans cheap smoke. works for butter, cheese, Whskey and Bourbon!

It's fitna go down. I was about to buy a smoke tube type thingy but decided to take a stab at making g my own out of foil. Have it in a smaller smoker and lit the pellets I put in for a test run with a map gas torch. Been steadily smoking at almost no heat for about a half hour now.

Heading to the liquor store once the food comes off the grill. Any suggestions on flavors or brands to go with, I'm not sure where all you've posted your successes..?

Foil would work.. even soup cans, with holes poked into it.. fire it from bottom allow it to smoulder smoke up.
Heat is the killer.. if just smoke, should be good. no flames.

Wood I used, apple/Pecan mix. hand ful of each shake and mix. toss on Grate..

Booze.. whiskey, bourbons.
Will say 30 minute of smoke for starter.
Pour in a Foil cake pan.. They are cheap.. and smoke, about mid point give it a ripple movement..
Funnel back into original bottle.. cap.

Test hour later over ice.
12 hours later test again

Smoke to flavor... ( mine is still work in progress.. But leaning smoke times of 30-38 minutes... ) Roughly.

Trying some of the locally brewed Moldovan beers. They don’t make them very strong over here. But, Moldova is known for its wine and a cognac I haven’t tried yet so beer might not get much attention.

From left to right; 3.7%, 4.3%, 4.5%, and 7%. So far first bottle down. Great taste, but too light. First couple sips of bottle two, the heavier taste I like, which normally comes with a higher ABV. Many tests must be done.
