This is their high torque (claimed 1500 ft lbs off / 1100 lbs on) impact wrench. I have the little brother mid torque and it's been great.

Way overkill for my needs, but seems like a good deal if you need that much power. One day sale $199 with battery and charger.

12V fridge / freezer for $230 at Costco:

It looks like the 40 and 50 liter are also on sale for $270 and $290 respectively.

I have one of these (30 liter) and while I haven't used it many times, it works well. I removed the wheels and telescoping handle because I figured I'd never use them.

I have the 40L version of this fridge. It's been running pretty much non stop since I got it, and it's still going strong. It also draws less than 5A when it's running (I can run it in eco mode off of a 4A port on my portable power station no problem).

We use ours as a drink fridge in the living room when we're not camping with it. I'm half tempted to keep using it as a drink fridge, and buy a second one for camping....

Did the wheels on yours stink like the worst harbor freight rubber smell ever? Or was that just mine?

Really my only complaint about the fridge for the price paid, and moot for me since I took them off.

Maybe at first (I've had it a year), but no smell that I've noticed for quite some time

My only real complaint is that there are no handles to tie it down with. So far, it's worked to run a ratchet strap around the back side of the fridge.

Thanks for posting this. Been wanting a fridge for awhile. Just ordered the 40L.

Anyone have recommendations for a power pack to run it off when the truck isn’t on? Maybe a solar panel for the campsite?

I also just got a 40L fridge and haven’t had a chance to travel with it yet. I have a Bluetti EB55 (currently $100 off for the blue one) and 120W solar panel to charge that up at the campsite.

The Bluetti uses LiPo4 batteries instead of lithium ion. A few brands have switched over.

Lithium Ion is fine, as long as you wire up an inline regulator. I run mine off an unregulated rockpals 500w power station this way, and the fridge will run the battery down until it shuts off.

I have a Golabs R300. They can often be found for about $200, which IMO is a good price for a LiFePO4 battery pack. It's a little small capacity wise (300 Wh) so it's great for a weekend but some people would find the capacity limiting. I am just too cheap and am still not 100% sold on the 12V fridge concept versus a decent cooler for my purposes, so I didn't want to spend the bigger bucks for anything more. It's worked well for us and we've used it around the house and yard more than just for camping.

I also bought a 60W solar panel to charge it, but so far have only played around with it in the backyard. No solar panel use while camping, just haven't really needed it yet.

My budget setup came to $550 for the fridge, battery and solar panel.

That Bluetti looks really nice @ffxcores .

ICECO makes quality products. I don't do crowd funding, but I might seriously consider one of these when they come to market...

Those look pretty good. Built in battery? Or add on modular battery?

I have thought about building my own LiFePO4 as a flat base that would sit under the fridge so you could just pick it up as one unit and haul it around without wrangling the battery pack. But as happens often the thinking about it is as far as I got with it so far.

Nice headlamps. Thanks, was just going to search for some camp lights.

I grabbed the GoLabs R300 and I caught the tail end of a flash sale for the 100w solar panel as well, $100 of on that.

Oh, on first glance I thought the price was for the fridge and battery combo, but it appears the battery is another $200. So not as great of a deal.

Here's another deal for ya. Ironman4x4america.com is having a big sale on camping gear this weekend. 25% off. This code also applies to roof top tents.

I have two of their water tanks as well, a 5 gallon Jerry tank, and the 10.6gal double jerry. Both a super high quality.

Not sponsored or anything, but use coupon code camp25 during checkout.

Ran it for 21 hours off the GoLabs R300 and had 35% left on the battery. It was inside the whole time so not a completely accurate camping reading. But, should be plenty for a weekend especially with plugging in the solar panel to recharge.
Shoot yea, for the price point, that's great!

Glad I could help enable your purchases :D

Once cooled down and full of food / drinks, the temperature is more stable so it won't cycle as much. I sometimes put frozen water bottles at the bottom of mine in that somewhat awkward space under the compressor.

Does the fridge have max/eco modes? The one thing I wish I could change about my battery is instead of a percentage it just has 5 20% chunks. So after a few minutes it shows [more than] 80% but I don't know if it's 81% or 99% and have to guess. Also, if the GoLabs supports pass-through charging, you should be able to plug the fridge into that then plug the battery into the truck's 12v while you're driving. After a few camping trips I'll be able to figure out whether I need to do that or whether I can just use the solar panel occasionally.

@ffxcores yes there are max / eco modes on the Massimo fridge. I've just used eco on battery power.

The Golabs battery display has a five segment icon but beneath that it shows a percentage number, and it's pretty accurate at least as far as I can tell from my usage. It does support pass through charging (with the exception of the 60W PD port) and I've done exactly what you mention (plug Golabs battery into 12V cig lighter plug in Xterra, plug fridge into Golabs battery).

I have read some complaints about the Golabs battery shutting off if it doesn't see a load for a long period of time and therefore shutting off the fridge. But I haven't experienced that myself, it's worked fine for me.

Another Ridgid 18V tool purchase. 3/8" sub compact impact wrench for $79

I picked this up the other day and haven't had much time to play around with it, but I did throw a 21mm socket on it and it easily spun the Xterra's lug nuts off (~100 ft. lbs.). It's rated to 225 ft. lbs of loosening torque, so it's about 1/3 the power, but much smaller and lighter, than their 1/2" mid torque impact wrench.

So, back to the topic of fridges......I just stumbled on this deal on amazon. I'm betting this is a typo, but you can't even get a decent cooler for the price of the 50L fridge.....

50L Fridge:

30L Fridge:

At that price, who cares if it breaks in a year or two?

The Massimo 30L, 40L and 50L were very briefly on sale the other day from Tractor Supply at a price almost $100 less than the best Costco pricing I've seen. It was short lived though, so by the time I had time to post it here it was OOS.

Yeah if it were free returns I’d say what’s the harm in getting one and testing it. But looks like you’d be on the hook for return shipping, and going all the way back overseas would probably make it a loss.
Amazon usually doesn't roll like that. Even if it comes from overseas, return tends to be domestic.

I wouldn't mind having the 30l but I'd be running it straight off the truck as I don't have fancy battery setups like you guys so I don't know if it'd be worth my purchase..

I run a dual use rv battery as the primary battery in my X. It has no issues running the fridge for 24 hours.

It was about 110 bucks at Napa, if I recall. My current fridge draws about 3-4 amps in eco mode, but I have no idea what the effeciency of this $100 fridge would be.
