Well the shop is still chasing the gremlin's so...........
The more I read the more and more I'm seeing Hitachi rock auto sensor failure's so here's a question for everyone/anyone.
What kind of luck have people had with sensor's from NISSANPARTSDEAL ??????????? Are they really OEM sensor's or does someone own that domain name and just selling second's/leftover's ?
Everything I've bought from them so far [ no sensor's ] Has arrived in what appear's to be Nissan plastic shop type bag's and I 've had no problem what so ever for fitment and use .

If it is indeed that I think we should get a separate thread for that issue. I was about to change mine out proactively but now I’m worried they’re gonna cause problems.

Although if it is an issue for you, both cases would be 2011 and I’m wondering if there’s something to that.

I use Nissan Parts Deal for the diagrams. But I can usually find the part cheaper elsewhere because the shipping from NPD is atrocious. Why pay to have my receiver shipped when Amazon delivered it in two days on Prime?

Custom RadFlo paint job update
Duplicate-Color MetalCast Blue with clear coat topper. If anyone tries the MetalCast paints, be warned.... run a test on junk material first and get used to how farking runny this stuff is. VERY LIGHT COATS. If not you’ll be sorry. Also helps keep color consistent.

Need Bigger Tires
Making some progress in fixing it. Replaced the left rear wheel speed sensor, everything was still borked. Found a broken wire, fixed that, now even more lights are on... Turns out the aftermarket sensor I did the original replacement with (was cheaper and way quicker to get) is garbage and gives random readings, which makes the vehicle freak out even more. So now we wait for an OEM sensor to come in, and the ABS system should hopefully be working again at that time.

On a semi-related note, anyone wanna buy an X? This one is getting old enough and I don't have the time to keep fixing it anymore, so I plan on flipping it for a 2015. If I can find someone quick enough that doesn't have an issue with a vehicle that needs maintenance, I'm happy to get it to a new home. Otherwise, I'm probably just going to trade it in, I don't have the time or patience right now to deal with classifieds and all the morons those seem to attract.

More like what have I done ‘TO’ my X this time - whacked the passenger mirror on the garage door frame backing out this morning. Maybe this will be the kick in my ass to install the Aussie R51 mirrors that have been riding around in a crate in the back.

Tell me more about these. I have been looking for something to replace mine. I want bigger tow style mirrors.

these are the same shape/size, but have a turn signal built in. For tow mirrors I believe there is a company called trail ridge that makes them.

It is such a great feeling, and more money for mods!!!!!
I justified paying mine off early with “I’ll save a lot in the long run” and since then every time the mod bug bites I say “well it’s paid off so I’ve been saving money.” Luckily, I’m out of stuff I want to do, which is what I’ve also said at least the last 10 purchases.

Painted some badges and installed a new burger on the back. I had painters tape over the burger holes for like 4 years. That failed. Had a new one in the garage.

Those hole's on the top of the plastic corner's look just the right size for a 750Ml bottle of SCREWBALL :D
Did you build a shelf in there so they don't fall thru ??
And you didn’t give him crab for using painters tape instead of gorilla tape?

wait.... it took you 4 years to paint the burger?

No. But yes. I've always wanted to either paint or wrap the truck blue. So I pulled the original burger a long time ago. I bought all new badges that were going to be painted black to go back on after that happened. But it hasn't happened yet. The tape that I was using to cover the burger holes deteriorated. So I cleaned it all up, painted the new burger and installed it.

I really wanted one of the black/red ones from the new Fronty. But I just noticed the tape failure today and haven't ordered one yet.

Well, I guess taking 4 years to colorize a truck sound a bit better than 4 years to colorize a badge. At least the wrap wouldn’t go bad if you had it the whole time.

Ordered a rear bumper and tire carrier from Maxterra today. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now, but overtime at work gave me some extra coin to spend. Now to wait…. Dave said he’ll be fabricating full time in a couple of weeks and expects wait times to soon be around two months. He’s also got some other cool stuff in his catalogue. He said he has a front bumper in the works too.

Nice. I ordered mine in April and just got it in January.
