Ordered the Offroad Gorilla hood strut kit this morning. I had one on my dearly departed Frontier and it spoiled me.

So I ordered the hood strut kit from Offroad Gorilla on 10/26, and it was supposedly shipped on 10/26. I've been checking the tracking info since then, and it has not moved. It still says "pre-shipment". I emailed OG twice between Friday and yesterday. Got a response yesterday that said they would look into it. Emailed them again yesterday afternoon and this morning, and have not gotten anywhere. I'm not impressed with their lack of communication or their customer service. I could have gotten one of these on ebay for less money... I thought Offroad Gorilla was a decent company. ??? So far I am out $52 with nothing to show for it and lousy sell communication.

I've never had issues getting stuff but I've also sent a couple emails with no response. I hate when they print a label and mark stuff "shipped" and then sit on the box. PRG does that as well.

I got my strut kit off flebay for a few bucks less but when I ordered stuff from them early this year it was also marked as shipped and never changed for a week until it arrived. It was then marked delivered.

Thanks for your input guys. So, I have not gotten any responses from OG, and they will not answer the phone. If I don't hear something by 3pm today, I will call my bank and have the charges reversed. Then I'll go to every forum I am a member of, including TNX and Club Frontier, and air it all out in the open.

I could have gotten it on ebay for a lot less money, but OG supposedly has a good rep. They have been terrible to deal with. They'll take your money but their customer service is simply non-existent.

They shipped everything I've gotten from them with USPS AND IT WAS THE SAME STORY . Then again I've had the same run around just about everytime I got something with USPS Tracking regardless of what or from whom !! It's in their system and nothing then POOF !! It's in the mailbox.

Well, I finally got an updated tracking from USPS/Offroad Gorilla that my parts were in transit. $10 says that somebody at OG marked my order as shipped, probably along with a bunch of other people's, and then chucked them in a box and sat on it. Sheesh...

Unfortunately, that's "normal" for these small businesses, but not for that long. Usually it's just a day or two. And usually the benefit of small businesses is the relationship and being able to communicate, which is obviously a problem for them. I never did get answers to my emails, my contact form entry, or the same question I put in the "notes" section of one of my orders.

At the same time though, other than a magnetic koozie, they're sold out of anything I would buy from them, and they have been for a long time now so I wonder if they're basically checking out.

I asked them if they were having a going outta business sale and got no reply but when I asked if they were going to get more hose's in stock they got back to me [2-3 day's] and wanted to know if I wanted to be on a list for when they came in !! Why yes of course. They said on sept 22 it would be 2-3 month's so I'll wait and see .

I have shopped with countless numbers of small business, I'd rather go that route than feed ebay or Bezos the Bond Villain... and it's very rare that I've had problems, but when there have been various issues, most small mom/pop outfits will be on top of that shiat with a quickness. Just off the top of my head, companies like Strings By Mail (guitar strings), Primary Arms (gun parts), West End Powersports (motorcycle stuff) have their act together and I love them for it.

Gave Odo his fall coat of wax including door jam's . He don't get that in the spring !! Also put a wire wheel on the drill and went at the frame between the wheel's since I had grinded it down to get slider's welded on and applied a generous coat of POR-15. I'll get the rest done in my buddy's garage where we can pull the wheel's and go at it.20201107_155701.jpg 20201107_155604.jpg

Mine has been on for a couple months.

Reservoir finally gave up after the crushed in fender. Amazed that it lasted as long as it did. I was dumb one morning and filled the damn thing full only to watch the driveway get a nice bath.
Not gonna fix it. That’s what the spray bottle in the door is for.

Got my hood struts finally and got them installed this afternoon. Nice. Also had to adjust the hood/bug deflector so that the hood would close more cleanly. I'm content.

I have two outstanding orders with them now. One shipped on the 9th (when they printed the label) and they dropped it off to the post office on the 10th. It's however still "acceptance pending" at the post office. So either it was dropped off in a batch, or the truck picked it up, but they haven't started processing it. It's a really small post office much like a couple I'm familiar with around here that only has one employee at a time present, so I'm guessing that adds to the delay. Once it's in the pipeline I know it will be here within two days, but the difficulty is getting it from there to the regional sorting facility.

None of that excuses the lack of contact though.

@TheCrabby1 - Where did you get the brackets?
If you look closely you'll notice the cheaper bracket's are kind of a one size fit's all deal and they work one way by just pushing out . The nisstec one's are nissan bracket specific and they push out and "lift" up so I would "GUESS" there giving you 12-17% more clearance if there both the same thickness !!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I think yours uses the original hardware in the original holes, and has new hardware right above the old? Your bar looks more parallel with the ground than mine.

@TheCrabby1 I mentioned this to @Mar10OR already via PM, but there's a guy in Sykesville selling the Nisstec relocate for $25. Never installed it (he totalled his X). I'm meeting up with him tomorrow to get some floor mats for the rear.

If anyone needs front weather tech mats, I'll have some available shortly.

Grabbed a roto-molded cooler for Odo , although I do have 2 igloo's on wheel's I wanted something for weekend camping with decent ice retention. 48qt delivered for $168 with basket and divider/cutting board ,I'm liking . Dad's yeti's are for the fish ; 20201119_163304.jpg Lolol

Thought about a 70qt and bigger but this is easier to lift by myself. I can buy another if needed.

Can you measure the width of the board (both top and bottom if tapered) and the span of the basket? Your cooler looks identical to mine, and the people that make mine don't offer baskets or dividers. If the measurements are the same, I might grab some from your manufacturer.

Okay the cutting board/divider has rounded edges and if I measure the width just at the start of the round on the side the top is 12" the bottom is 11 3/8" and the basket is 12"at the top where it sit's on the ledge. Does ur's have the slot in the middle ??
