So.. I need to figure out how to get my window up until I can get a switch. I think.
I went on break and when I got back the driver window wouldn't roll up. The three other switches/windows work fine but the driver switch put the window down no issue and 3-4 mins later never moved or made a noise again.
It's the switch right?

Can I manually get the window up so it's not open to the world?

Similarly, I noticed today my button was sticking. The previous owner's daughter spilled coffee in it, and I took it apart and thought I cleaned it really well, but now that it's getting cooler again it's becoming a problem. Probably going to try and source a replacement.

Anyone ever have their rear seat belts lock up on a first gen? Mine won't pull out at all regardless of what I do, completely;) unrelated about 3 inches of mud came in through the back hatch due to it not fully latching and flooded the inside:)

I tried banging, not too hard, around the switch and open closed the door and hit the switch a zillion times but nothing. I'll try again..left & below?

Left side of door below the armrest, toward the edge by the latch. Bang it a couple times while holding the switch up. Not Superman hard, but give a good whack each time.

Server crashed at 4. Didn't recover to stable until almost 7 due to the vm host synching the spinning rust over a 1g connection. Still sluggish due to synching the 6T audio array, but it's operable.

@Xterrorista -

Did you bang on the door left and below while holding the switch to go up?

Most likely the motor has developed a flat spot. If it rolls up when you smack the door it’s almost guaranteed you need a new regulator assembly.

So I was delirious tired once I got off a 14hr shift and stressing leaving the truck full of all my keen junk so I made trip after trip unloading everything. Exhausted I ordered the motor/regulator assembly and also the switch plate. $53 total and will be here Fri.

I wake up, read the replies to my dilema and as soon as I hit the door where you said the widow is now working. At least I'll have replacements.

Would you guys put the switch plate in too when I open up the door or hold off till it needs it? I'm sure I'll put it in and the other in "top-stock"

I followed the switch disassembly and cleaning write-up from the other place and my switch has worked flawlessly for 3 years now. Its an easy thing to do, takes an hour or maybe 3 beers.

Maybe you could do a write-up for here if we don't have one already.

That sucks about the cat. And the tea. Not a fan on tea.

We have one coffee shop in town and they "open early" at 10am.... o_O

Busy weekend ahead. Gotta do some work to the X and then there's an Overland Bound meetup/cookout Sunday.

I bought a late season tag for a cow elk in some hard to get to places, I'm looking forward to scouting this weekend. I have until 1/31/21 to get one.

I just wanna tag along to walk in the woods. You can have my tag. I just wanna hike and turn my mind off.

My passenger side back seat belt does that, This reminds me I need to order a new one.

stupid tea shop opened up across from my office.

now i have to hear everyone babble on about blue zass berry energy teas

i need a wilderness retreat

that i never come back from

I'm not big on tea either unless I'm sick and it has whiskey and honey in it. However, one of the local tea places sells "tea lager," which are blends of tea designed to drop into beer to "cold brew" for a few minutes. It sounds really dumb and I was highly skeptical, but I tried one and it was actually really good. It was the one that goes into light beers, and I think I dropped it in a Miller High Life or something. It also allowed me to claim I was drinking a "healthy" beverage. https://capitalteas.com/search.php?search_query=tea+lager

So good news on my end. I managed to get another job! I decided it was time for a career change, and with the help of a recommendation of a friend, I managed to score a job doing entry level IT help desk stuff. There's lots of room to move, and the company offers a training budget for personal development, so it's a great starting point.

With that In mind, I ordered the parts to build out my rear storage system, and the materials to build a no-weld roof rack using super strut. Building content for the youtube channel!

Congratulations Reaver!

Thanks man. Though I went from $35/hr to 0 due to being laid off, to $14/hr, there's lots of room to get back to that point rather quickly in IT, though I'm a little scared that I may not have the case tracking skills to handle the ticketing system. I think I'll be ok though.

You'll be fine. All you have to remember is.... "Did you turn it off and then back on?" :D
