Ive got to replace my air intake, mainly the air box as the bottom half is missing. Rather than searching for an original in a scrap yard, I’m considering upgrading to a newer conical system, like a KN 57 series. I saw a post from last year where someone mentioned installing this system on their 1st Gen X and that a different pulley was needed on the supercharger in order to make the intake swap. Can anyone speak more to this upgrade?

You don't need to do anything really just install it after the MAF, it may heatsoak without a heat shield, but you can fab one really cheap.

Thanks guys, and I appreciate the input. Sorry I went dark for a while. Dumb question from the newbie, but what’s the MAF?
