For those who don't know I've only just now done OME shock's on the front with a 1/2 inch spacer. The rear wheel well measure gained a quarter inch in height from the front . I also measured it today with 160 lb's of dirt in the back and it sunk down a half inch in the back. I guess that's about the weight of a tire carrier rear bumper. I guess it's shock's and leaf's for the back, then either bumper's or the rest of the front end . I think I'm leaning toward's UCA/LCA before the bumper . I'm guessing the guitar collection gonna be shrinking , while the X will be a growing . LOL

Looks like it had dropped a good but! But the X looks great though. Are you happy with the new ride of decent parts and good shocks?
I only drove it home sat night after install and today . Big difference now when I hit some bump's, I'm liking it :) Well almost , now I notice the rear end has a little more bounce then I would like . I Guess you don't notice that as much when the front is dancing around also, but now that it's not I do notice it. I hope I can use the OME shock's in the rear but only lift the back up 1.5 inch's. Debating now maybe the heavy leaf's in back so I don't got to change them later ? maybe throw some weight back their for the ride until I can get a rear carrier bumper . I don't know !!

OHHH. Don't make any changes to the plan till you get the new springs and shocks on the rear. There's going to be a big change in how it acts. The OE springs are lacking at best and your OE shocks are probably no good anyways so you'll REALLY notice a difference between the all new front suspension and your beat and dying rear.

The grey colored shock's and coil's that came off the front had 2017 man date stamped on them . Also had a name of Speedy [something] stamped on it so in three years they were partially wore out or maybe just the wrong weight fitment, and the bolt's on the bottom were seized up. The kind you import to China ! I am liking the way the 265/75's look in their , not too tiny but not overstuffed. Just my opinion :)

Well............. I'm learning the hard way, Save your $$$$ until you can replace everything at once Instead of trying to peace the front end suspension together over time like I wanted to do . IT DON'T WORK LIKE THAT !! After about 45 minutes the shop I use exhausted all form's of persuasion to get the cam bolt's out then said they could cut them off, send to a machine shop with a press and hope the rusted piece's of $$$$ lower control arm came back in a useful condition or for a few hundred more just install new after market LCA's o_O I got the LCA's . Now I only have to do the upper's..... At least I can order the SPC one's well before I need them [ fingers crossed] Hopefully when they call 2morrow it'll be only to pick it up . Wished I'd done this $hit when I was younger and not semi-retired . I almost think Odo X is a junkie and I'm just helping it get it's fix !!!!!!! Friday the 13th.... DUH

That stinks but it's really common. Better to get new arms rather than try to salvage the stockers. Make sure they use LOTS of anti-seize on the new bolts....

Well with everything going on I don't know when I'll be able to order the shock's/shackle's and leaf's 4 the back :( Like everyone else on the planet just gotta wait and see

So I've read other people's build thread's and just some post's in the suspension section and now I'm wondering ??? I see a bunch of different degree angle shim's on the Nisstec site and I have to wonder is there a certain one that people with a 1.5-2 inch suspension lift or the OME Dakar leaf's and nitro shock's use ? Or is this another put it together first Xterra surprise [meaning 5 different X's use 5 diff shim's] mine is just an S model with OME suspension lift in front . Thanx for any answer's/thought's/conclusion's and other nightmare's you might have ;)

The shims are for the rear if you are experiencing a vibration related to certain speeds. If you don't have any vibrations then you won't need them. They are generally for lifts 3"+.

Thank's Terry , I ran across a post where the guy said his lift was only 1.5-2 inch's and had to shim it so I was trying to think ahead and get a list going for the rear end. Do you think the greaseable shackle's are really worth it ? Or maybe the adjustable shackle's so I could raise it back up a little when I finally get a tire holder rear bumper ?? Th Yo

There's merit to both. The adjustable shackles will probably be useful like you mentioned to adjust the ride height once you make changes. Plus they are tied together rather than two separate pieces like the OMEs IICR.

Okay , OME Leaf's,shock's and grease-able shackle's ordered. Will do the OME- AAL to new Dakar leaf's for the added weight when and if rear tire carrier bumper added , thus no adjustable shackle for Odo :)

Ordered new bolt's/nut's for the rear yesterday from Nissan. When we did the front end I forgot to order and spent 3 hour's running around to 2 Nissan dealer's that had 1 between them then to 3 different auto part's store's to find 1[ universal ?] bolt no nut. I wasn't quit going postal but wasn't very happy:mad: ! Then went to Ace and found 2 #8 bolt's with nut's/washer's ACE IS THE PLACE :)

Well yesterday according to UPS I was supposed to receive 3 package's from nisstec :) when I checked back on the tracking website at 6:30ish it told me that they delivered 1 package at 4:30 . OH UFCK......... they delivered it to another house in the neighborhood with the same street #s it wouldn't be the first time the weekend worker's did this . At 7:33 the dog start's barking and there's a Honda CRV in the driveway and a guy coming to the door with a package , key word's [ A PACKAGE ] it was everything but the leaf's, all of a sudden they wont be here till mon !! But they were out for delivery sat :confused:. I'm hoping it was just to late for the truck delivery last nite , The guy in the CRV was the maintenance supervisor , he said there 10 time's busier then Xmas and I DO UNDERSTAND . But what the hell is wrong with your tracking software , it can't be that hard can it ???? Or maybe their just having a little fun at my expense :eek::p

After a week or two I'll get some measurement's at each tire well and see how it end's up . It's pretty close to level and that's what I was trying to accomplish buy putting 2.5 inches of lift in the front and 1.5 in the back. Now it look's like it need's bigger tire's, LOLOLOL.. UFCK !! Okay let's see, the ride is firmer - tire's feel a lot more planted then it was since I bought it:) and the new shock's are doing their job just fine . I left the sway bar on because I wasn't sure about how much droop the rear would have and didn't wanna brake the brake line's off. Overall I'm happy with the end result right now , except for the fact that MY DUMB-A$$ broke off a grease fitting on a driver side shackle bolt. HF sell's SAE and Metric nipple fitting case's so all should be good there. I also lost about an inch in ground clearance because the the new U-bolt's are longer and the leaf pack is two leaf's thicker . They will accommodate an AAL down the road but right now there hangin down farther then the stock one's . Guess I need a U-bolt flip kit now:cool: Did anybody catch the name of that road I'm going down ! LOL

Looks good! You can trim those hanging ubolts with a grinding wheel pretty quickly, just thread another nut to keep from grinding too much off and you should be able to get them flat. Won't be as pretty as using a hacksaw on one of the threads but it's a heck of a lot easier than removing them again haha. After that much work it's a good idea to check the torque on all of the nuts in a week or so.

I'll do that after the AAL is installed before the rear bumper would go on or see if the flip kit would work on a OME HD leaf setup. So much to do......so little money.....Lol Definitely will be checking all bolt's that were installed ;)

Well I ended up with 36 3/8 inchs front and rear passenger side and 36 1/2 driver front, 36 1/4 driver rear with a full tank !! with less than a quarter tank it's 36 3/8 driver front and 36 3/4 driver rear . So to be level I have to ride around with a half tank at all time's :cool: And now my does anybody know question of the hour !! Will my stock brake line's be all right after adding the OME AAL or should that be done first or as long as the sway bar is on I'll be good ??:)

And for today's Update !!! Since my friend is to busy to wrench during the summer [ just ask his ole lady ] I got Adrenalin Offroad to install the AAL's/ SPC uca's and take that rust bucket spare tire winch thing out from underneath ! Couldn't be more happy with the work done . He was unhappy about a little vibration around 27-32 MPH [ VERY LITTLE VIBRATION ] Gonna wait till tire carrier bumper install then see what and if any vibration left for proper shim-midge:cool: Well the back end height now sit's at 37 and 5/8th's with 3/4 tank of fuel [ dose high test weigh less because it's high  ] And it's not that noticeably stiffer in the A$$ end like I thought it would be . The big difference I'm loving is the SPC's . The steering was so touchy because of the camber/toe issue It's been almost scary to drive and when I did it would grab the edge's of the tire channel's/Rut's [?] in the road and take you where it wanted to go and it was a challenge to hold it in my own lane . When you look at the pic of the wheel alignment stat's remember the SPC's have a degree built in so the stat's where worse then pictured before install. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY !!! !!! !!!:D

Except now the wheel's look smaller :(

That's another thing I didn't get from the shop. I'll have to see if they saved a record of it.

Do you have more rake now? Pics or it didn't reaally happen, right..?
The back is sitting an inch and a half higher then the front right now and that's with 3/4+ tank of fuel. Here's a couple pic's . I also noticed some marker line's on all the new SPC UCA's nut's/bolt's so with just a glance you could see if something shifted or came lose. Adrenalin Offroad use's one specific tech for front end alignment's that work's at the local Goodyear tire store and I understand why as you can see in the last pic !! :)20200730_101503.jpg 20200730_101529.jpg 20200730_101547.jpg 20200730_101615.jpg

Bought an X
Wait? What year is your X, and do you live in or on the Chesapeake (sp) Bay? JK, I feel your pain. It made me go outlast night, crawl under with a flashlight and inspect my X. Phew! Not a spec of corrosion. I’ve finnaly decided to go with OME & I’m rooting for ya, and following in the journey and hopefully all is still GOOD!! I’ll cruise around in here and see what else I can find, but thanks for this awesome ride on OME.
