Nice. A few dumb questions please.

Beautiful wheel choice; what size did you get and why? Why not beadlocks?

39x12.5-17s? I like big but why 39’s? Seems like a tough fit.

Did you SOA the rear? Traction Bar?

Sorry if I missed any answers in earlier posts…

17-8.5 wheel non-beadlocks because I dont have another $600 to spend on just wheels. As for tire size, Im going with the Kanti Mud Hogs which will measure out to a 38" overall on the wheels. I will need to do a good bit of trimming in the rear, but I think I should be able to get them to fit.. Im not going to SOA or anything like that. Likely what will happen is that I will link the rear end.

Called summit yesterday, my new wheels were supposed to be shipped already, but APPARENTLY theyre still 10 days out before they ship.

i guess that gives me some time to tinker with a new idea for spare tire carrier

Looking forward to this. I am moving my front axle forward another 1.5" to help make room for going to 39's next season.

Im hoping I wont have to move mine forward. I might be able to get away, but of not I have plenty of heim to push it forward about an inch. Much further and I will have start thinking about steering modification

Yesterday I received a set of used 5-point harnesses from a member of the facebook groups. Theyre in pretty good shape and should work great for my uses. I will need to clean up the buckels and hardware on them a little to shine them up. But Im not gonna complain ar free

Trying to get things moving again... life has been a never ending shiatshow.

working on harness mount bars today. Struggled with the 35* notch. Came up with this contraption. Used my pipemaster to "map out" the notch and then did a practice piece. Wasnt perfect but it was close. Then I moved to an actual full piece.... except my dumbass made a cut earlier in the day which basically made the tube scrap.... so it became another practice piece. Once I get more tubing Im gonna make the 35* notch first and then keep doing the squared notch for the uprights until everything fits exactly how I want.

Got my 39" tire mounted up on the wheel. Time to start test fitting.

First thoughts- the front will clear with very minimal work. Cab corner need to be cut, but that should be enough. Rears are a different story. Im going to have to cut quite a bit off the rear of the door section of the wheel well and then the quarter panel is gonna need a good chop. No biggie and totally expected.D32CB5A9-5FF7-415D-9736-0D870D96D84D.jpeg39DE1BF0-BD3E-4163-9B34-13A1A2B337B7.jpegD85F777D-ED8F-48E9-9D5F-8F99CE608608.jpeg1153C0D7-42F4-4090-9E51-DA9F13D70C49.jpegF0BAF5E2-7FFE-4D01-B782-AA189D16979E.jpeg

That is a huge tire. I'm new to SAS builds and the capabilities of handling bigger tires so bare with me. Is there limited up travel in this kind of suspension and extra in down travel during articulation? It looks to me like your tire can't stuff to far in the fender just sitting on flat ground. Big fan of the build and love the simple use of clamps and a piece of angle iron to set your cross tube! Brilliant!

So that entirely depends on how you set the truck up. With my current setup I have about 2" up travel in the front and about 3.5-4" in the rear. I will have to clearance the front and rear a ton. Im not currently planning on adding bump stop or anything like that.

Other tires showed up today, got them all mounted up. Then since tire shop couldnt balance i decided that Im going to use airsoft BBs. Mainly because I have a couple bags of them and Ive heard good things.

Honest question. What are you doing in the rear? because that shiat isn't going up at all.

the shackle bushings are shot. Gonna replace those and that should gain me 1/2-1" from there Im gonna move the axle back 1" and chop quarters and trim in front of the tire. I will make sure everything clears throughout my travel.

Have a line layout? I'm very curious. Even with 1/2 to 1" that big bitch looks tighter than a prom date.

That looks amazing. But it also looks like the rear isn't moving

the ultimate test is going to be on the trail. If I still rub I will have to do either more cutting, move axle, or more lift. Im trying to avoid going any taller right now. I have driven around town alot and it doesnt rub at all on the road so solve the imediate issue.
