Soon there will be a plug n play option for those that want to have full control over their factory locker. This interface will plug in between your chassis harness and the "computer" that controls your locker. This is based on the mod that doesn't give you warning lights and does not require extra switches or relays. It uses factory style connectors, if you can work a locking style plug, you can install this thing. No wiring work required. I currently have parts to build 5 and am assembling the prototype for a local X that does not have the wiring mod.

I'm going to install a 226 with the factory e locker in my X soon. Could you explain what this mod does and why I might need it?
Thx

IF your X didn't come with the locking 226 from the factory, you don't need this mod. Factory equipped locking X's come with a controller (DLCU) that only allows locker engagement in 4lo with a wheel speed at and under 4 mph. This reduces liability to Nissan in that there is less of a chance of locker engagement at an inappropriate time. Anyone who has an aftermarket locker in their vehicle has the ability to lock there diff at the wrong time. With you wiring direct control power to your transplanted axle, you will be able to engage it at anytime.

You're in the same boat as me. You'll just install a switch and be ready to go.
Nice, thx fellas.

Do you have a timeline on when this will be released?

I’m in depending on timeline release.

I put you on the list. There is no obligation till I get to your spot on the list with a package ready to go out to your address. And if you decline, you decline.

I am probably.......worst case......4-5 weeks out on #20, which is the spot XtremeBuzz just took.

How many of these are you planning on doing? This going to be something that limited time or is this going to be something you’ll be continuing to do?

I plan on making these until there is no more demand.......then ten more to have on the shelf. The gasser Titans use this wiring setup, a lot of overseas Nissans use this exact connector and wiring, Navara for example.

Any chance this will work with a Frontier? I would be more than happy to act as a guinea pig. If it doesn’t end up working I could always ship it back at my expense or resell it locally to an Xterra guy. I’m more than happy to take the risk.

Yes. Your wiring is identical. No guinea pig necessary.
