So I have my 2003 XE with just the 2.4 and 5 speed 2wd. I decided to do a little improvement on the inflow/outflow situation. Some will think why? Well because I wanted too, because I can, and because it is mine. So there that is.
So I built my own cold air intake system. It cost me about $34. I then improved the outflow side of things. So I have a guy that does great exhaust work. So I had Dynomax turbo muffler installed and larger diameter exhaust pipe. So I just got done doing a road trip out to the Oregon coast and back. I can honestly say it runs very, very well at highway speed. I even was going up the I-5 passes in fifth and maintaining or even some speed pickup. The exhaust sounds perfect. It is not loud, not fart canny. It has a nice low growl. But overall very happy with the outcome.
