Just found this place and figure I'd join up, I love Xterras and the community we have around them. I have a 2004 XE (That's the base model, right?) with about 164k miles. It's got the N/A V6 with 4x4 and a 5 speed with some nice options. Power locks, windows, and an auto dimming rear view mirror with compass and temp display. I've also done some pretty nice QOL mods recently. I swapped the interior lights for LEDs and I added an AUX input to my factory radio, which I used to get satellite radio. I got it back in 2012 as my first car in high school and I'm still in love with it. It's been a fantastic solid car, and the only one in my family that has yet to break down or leave me stranded. I keep up with the maintenance and probably put more money into it than I should ($2.5k in preventative maintenance last year alone) but I want it to last me until the end of time. I've kept it bone stock up until now and I've got some fun mods planned. I've got a full set of bumpers and skids on order from shrockworks since October (the wait for those is killing me), I got a 3" lift in from 4x4 parts recently, I had a light rack custom built to mimic the Xoskel lopro light cages and I've got 4 KC Daylighters on the roof now. When the bumpers come, I'm lifting it, putting on some Ko2s, a winch and some other off road and camping goodies before this summer. I just graduated college and am planning a cross country road trip before I settle down. Right now it's pretty ambitious. I want to go from Key West Florida to Deadhorse Alaska, and Ozette, Washington to Lubec Maine. I've lived in Georgia for my whole life and never been off the East Coast, so I've got a real travel itch I need to scratch. Anyways, there's my ramble out of the way. Have some pictures.

Welcome! Sounds like you've got some awesome things planned!

For sure, I just can't wait until everything comes together. I though I was excited to graduate college, but that has nothing on my feelings of excitement and anticipation right now.

Welcome aboard ; sound's like a good road trip. I'd have to delay the start cause I have a hard time when ever I leave the KEY'S :D

Welcome from PA. Sounds like an awesome trip!
Thanks y'all, I really hope I can go through with it. I'm probably going to burn through all my savings doing it, but I'd rather do this now than have a few extra dollars to my name 10 years down the line. You got to live for the experiences in life.

BTW, if you come through the Boise area on your road trip, hit me up. I'd love to go wheeling with another X!

I will absolutely do that! I'm actually thinking of moving to Boise when I start looking for work, so I'll be sure to swing by and check it out. Hopefully you can show me some good local trails.

Well, if you're into the outdoors, it's a really good place to be.

What kind of work are you looking for?
Yeah, I love getting out and spending time outside hiking and camping. Georgia has lots of great spots, but after 23 years I feel like I've seen all this state has to offer. I'm looking into law enforcement, I just graduated with a BS in criminal justice. If I can't get on with my city's force, I'm looking at Boise, Asheville NC, Salina KS, or Manhattan KS. I'm leaning more towards Kansas though, it's still relatively close to home, and still close enough to the Rocky Mountains that a weekend camping trip isn't out of the question. Boise is nice though because it's a big city, but not too big where you get exorbitant cost of living and insane traffic.
