This might be a dumb question, but is it safe to extend high pressure fuel lines? Can you just use regular rubber fuel line to do so?

I'm putting bigger tires on my X and I need to move the fuel lines from under the heat shield on the passenger side frame to on top of the frame.

What size fuel line can i use?

The high pressure lines on the 2nd gen are clamped rubber lines, so I would think as long as you protect them from heat and abrasion, you should be fine. There's special hose for the higher pressure but it's readily available in parts stores. Use good quality clamps, probably put a liner on the outside of them and clamp them in place to prevent them from rubbing anything.
