Hello From Sc

I bought an ‘02 Xterra SE 4x4 Supercharged 5-speed a couple months ago, and have been browsing XterraNation ever since learning about mods and options. The Xterra (specifically the 5-speed 4x4 Supercharged model) was a dream car of mine in high school, but I’ve never owned one until now. And now, married, employed, and with two kids I can’t really justify a major off-road overhaul. So, I plan to do a few simple and lower budget mods that will customize my Xterra more for weekend camping/backpacking trips, carrying the boat and gear to the lake, and maybe getting intentionally lost in Pisgah National Forest. My kids have already dub’d this the “Adventure Truck”. I look forward to getting involved here, and gleaning from many of your experiences and knowledge.

Welcome! I've been wanting to explore Pisgah more myself. My middle daughter and I spent a weekend on Old NC 105 this fall and had a great time seeing the sights.

It’s a beautiful area, TerryD. My current profile pic is from on top of Black Balsam Knob in Pisgah. Some great trails up there to hike and I’m sure to off-road. In the spring, I hope to get over to Linville Gorge.

Maybe we can get together and do some exploring. I have lots of routes mapped but haven't had the chance to check any of them out. I'd like to do a long weekend in that area.

Thanks all. I was very surprised at how well kept this X was when I bought it. One owner, local vehicle, super clean on the inside, etc.
