Walking up to the X, habit of looking at bumper and under frame as I approach. Noticed a Object on passenger Rear Axle @ Springs..
Thought to self.. CRAP busted spring??. Busted Bracket for Leaf springs. OR hope just a dang stick, for i was Driving some Logging roads not long ago.

Set beer down. Looked at Object AH nuts!!. its the Bracket that holds Air bag to Leaf Spring.. Lost nut, somewhere.. Bolt must have Bounced out as well.
Held in place By one Bolt & Nut. As photo indicates. NUTS!!!

Leaf spring 1.JPG

hmmm.. Grab socket set.. wire cutter.. Walk the ditch near Barbwire fence.. Find chunk of wire!. This should work

Leag spring Fix 1.JPG Leaf spring 2 Fix.JPG

adjusted nut, add wire.. Tighten Nut DONE!!!. Drink beer in odd Angle to wash down road dust.

235 miles later Still holding. Will pick up New bolts this week. and Replace both.. ( Driver side nuts Tight! )

Lucky to have Socket set inside, and few Pliers to fix.

Grabbed New Bolt.. Guessed on size.. Crap!!!. wrong size & Length..
it's 3/8" carriage. not 5/16" But least its More secure then the Dang Wire..Carriage bolt.JPG

Wash, Wax and started running wiring to the back for some lighting and other accessories. Finally got around to installing some proper tie downs in the place of the plastic ones on the hatch frame. Used rivnuts to mount the Ancra aircraft style tie downs. The anchor can be removed when not in use.

Ordered valve cover gaskets, upper plenum gasket, spark plug tube seals and a PCV valve. Gotta get by the stealership and get them this week. It'll be the last time I order those gaskets from Nissan though. From here on out it'll be Felpro. Those prices are outrageous.

Gotta do the thermostat soon too and I'm probably going to do the fan clutch while I'm in there.

Replaced EGR solenoid. I'm running code p0400 if I remember correctly. Already replaced the EGR valve as well, and the service engine soon light is still on. Further knowledge or suggestions would be appreciated

Have you reset the ECM? If not it might take several drive cycles to complete the self tests to turn off the light.

I've driven a decent bit but I'll continue to. I'm just not sure how many miles or how long it should take.

Placed an order for a hefty aluminum front bumper!!!

Now I just have to figure out which winch should accompany it...

Leaning towards the Smittybilt X2O 10k w/synth line.

Sidebar, anyone know what fitment is like with the X2O and the Hefty aluminum...?

Finally mounted an old nissan badge

Now i'm not sure about the bumper lights. i like the look but it hides the badge a bit.

Replaced the blower motor. Because of course it would wait until the middle of winter when it is stupid cold outside to die... not like I need heat or clear windows for anything.

KEY FOB.. use thin blade Pry open.. Easy access.
Battery required for the FOB is CR2025. One for each FOB

Good time to Install new Batteries.. First time since 2007 Era..

Posting photo of the inside look. Can see some Wear marks that that Rocker switch toggle makes contact. Plus, many years of Pocket dust in seam. Needs a cleaning too.

Did a bootleg thing today. OG valve cover gaskets were cracked everywhere, smelly smell of oil smells fixed. and new intake gasket. couldnt get hands to release the coolant lines, so i just raised it out of the way. Don't mind the red wires. they'll get routed properly in the future.

That's true . How bout this, buy another light then mount the new one and the one from the middle on the same bar where it's angling down toward's the bumper. problem solved and 25% ? brighter :)
^This. Cause brighter is better. But it looks fine. Anyone worth their Nissan salt will appreciate the badge, even half covered..

Well just over 100k miles, I think I have something going on with my tie rods. When parked, I hear a clunk and feel play when steering left to right. I happen to have unused Moog Greasable TR ends from a member on TNX. So I think I'll throw those on, although I hear the Moog tie rods don't hold up well. Bad timing, I just had it inspected and aligned a month ago. Anything else I should replace up front while in there? Also ordered Raybestos Rotors and Pads for all four.
