Haha yeah I'm not totally sure what I got into with these, Crutchfield had them on sale as an open box 50% off deal. The magnets feel heavier than the 6x9's in the front doors. Now just have to figure out where I can flush mount...somewhere...maybe rear doors.
With an RMS power rating as has those, you'll have to run them off an amp to get any good sound out of them. Being tweeters hopefully your mid-range and bass can keep up with them. You'll probably end up pulling the gain down pretty far.

I hope they're not too overpowering because I'm happy with my bass and mids as they are now. My headunit has a built in amplifier of 50 W x 4, I was planning on connecting these to the rear door speaker wires but I wonder now if that will reduce the amount of power the both of them receive too much.

Hmm, depending on the impedance it might work. I'd just wire them into the door speakers first and see what they put out. Dunno if they'll fit there tho and they won't sound good until mounted in an enclosure like the door or dash, box etc.

Thanks for the ref, that's a good explainer. I think I'll try that as a first pass on it and see how much room that door panel has behind it. I might have to build a box of some sort and attach it to the door but I don't have much confidence that wouldn't end up looking terrible lol.

Maybe a cutting wheel if there's room in the door without affecting any elec or mech.

FARKLE!!!! Hella 700FFs and swapped the H11 bulbs for H9 in my fogs.

What front bumper is that? I have the same one and have spent hell trying to find lights!

I tinted the windows, put in all new tie rods, ball joints, upper and lower control arms, idler arm, pitman arm, oil change, new distributor and idle air control valve, new exhaust manifolds, new valve cover and oil pan gaskets, new rear leafs, 33/12.50/15s and a newer front bumper! Also did a 4" body lift and 2.5 " suspension lift! Building a custom roof rack and console this week with all new lights bars!

Well, I'm returning them. I researched a bit more and learned they are called "supertweeters", something I've never heard of. They would be great for audio competition setups but for what I want they're a bad fit. I've ordered some Alpine S-S10TW 1" Tweeters instead, these are more in line with what I was looking for.

Woke up extra early this morning to install the PRG Delrin steering rack bushings before going to work. Turns out 43 degrees isn't that cold when you're fighting with a steering rack lol. It's a quick job with the impact wrench and some extensions thankfully. I've only driven with them from my house to the office so far but even with that limited mileage I can say it's an improvement over the rubber bushings. Road imperfections don't affect the steering nearly as much now and it doesn't have that soft numb feeling when I first start turning the wheel.

And that completes my front end work, with brand new OE LCA's, Delrin LCA bushing washers, inner/outer tie rods, and now Delrin rack bushings this is probably as good as it's going to ever get steering-wise. At least now I can stop wondering what if I change this or that.

One must plan Ahead when using Vaults to protect things inside the X. I had choice Just Safe with Key pad, or Key pad & Key. Hmm. back up key case human forgets Combo.
1.5 years later. Opened Safe, placed my Pistol inside and cash. Closed it up. 4 hours later when to Open. LED buttons DEAD!!. Crap. Human smart Push button again..Ugh. LOCKED OUT!!! Battery dead. No access... Grrrrrr. Oh wait Key, stashed in Secret spot inside cab.

Rotate KEY Click Safe opens.. aH whew!!.

Just added new batteries, Placed Key back in hiding spot.

Lesson learned Never buy Safe with battery combo only... Gonna be locked out.. Batteries fail!.. Key Back up good unless one can't find Key.. ;-)

Depending on the safe, most of the battery-types can be opened with a magnet or a hard jolt. The pin is held in place by a spring and it uses a magnet to pull the pin back. If you do it right, you don't need the batteries or the combo to get it open.

Thanks, I know what type of safe I won't buy now.. Not that I was buying/wanting a safe but...

Honestly, most cheap safes scare me. Someone did a test a few years ago with a bunch of those pistol safes, it was scary how many of those could be opened by a 2 year old by just dropping it or popping the back off with a metal ruler...

Took a couple minutes and rotated my tires. It's a little early but they are scalloping on the edges a good bit and wanted to get ahead of that. Think I'm going to have to cut back my intervals.

So today I did good wash, then used a hydrophobic ceramic wax. Then dried, detailed sprayed. Rain X'ed the glass, clean wheels and tires. Used trim detail on all the plastics also. Ready for caca weather.

Let's see. Destroyed the rear carrier and 2 passenger axle shafts, threw a used locker and passenger shaft in. Promptly destroyed the bearing on the axle and abs sensor. Bought new oem loaded shafts, so new shafts, new abs sensor and new to me locker and she's back on the road.

Attempted to install PRG Felton steering rack bushings but couldn’t get the rubbers out so I guess they’re okay for now.

Polyurethane motor mounts weren’t too bad to install.

Currently finishing up the front bumper with the mar-hyde bumper coating as recommended in @General_Tarfun ‘s build thread. I don’t think I did as good of a job though.

What's going on with it? Touchup is incredibly easy with that stuff so don't get too worried yet.

It seemed like the scuffing from my prep work was showing through as scratches. Haven’t seen what it looks like in the daylight yet, but I ended up putting like 4 coats on.

Oh ok, yeah anything like that will be visible since it acts more like a dye on plastic. If it's super rough looking try wet sanding it smooth again and repainting, you should really only need 2 coats.

Bought an X
Got 3 packages in the post today, a 4wdabc sticker to replace the one left on the Land Rover, a replacement OEM trailer wire (my original had been pinched between the bumper and the spare tire), and my 2” lift pucks.
Will be going down to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up the assorted bolts for the lift
