For your first mod, other than removing the rails, flaps, and rear seat bar, is to figure out what the truck doesn't do that you want it to.
Well they can "do" pretty much most things you ask them to, it's just the driver needs to know how to get it to do it.

Get some good tire and go from there. If you plan on taking it off road do it stock first then figure out what you want/need from there.

Welcome, and agree with @Prime and @Muadeeb - if you don't plan to wheel your truck on anything more than dirt roads, you can save yourself a ton of money and time. Sit down with pen and paper and write down what you want out of your vehicle. Then report back and we can guide you.

I will say, the first thing I modded was my tires (upgraded to 33") and sound system.
