I had/have the same problem on mine. I straight up had a tire shop tell me, "they didn't have the equipment" to align my truck after waiting for 4 hours. Went to the comparable shop down they road and they had it done in 30min.

Yeah. Most places won't deal with modified stuff. At all. But thats why I take shiat like this to the dealer. They know me and are smart enough to know how to manipulate the truck to do what it's supposed to.

Speaking of steering.... Titan swap....

Can I just get Titan inners and outers for the tie rods and bolt them up to my steering rack? In lieu of doing the tie rod extensions, that is.

So. Update. Managed to score a locked Titan 226. Allowing me to run Titan brakes at all 4 corners and no spacers. There are of course other considerations for the braking system, but I've done research all morning and it seems pretty straightforward.

Titan brake booster and master cylinder, plug the forward pressure sensor tap on the Titan MC because the X only has one, external reservoir for the clutch, and then have the dealership power bleed everything.

From my reading the ABS pump should be fine and all of the sensors for the Titan are compatible with the X computer.

So, full Titan width front and rear, OE Titan wheels, no spacers, everything works. Right?

Tires mounted on the wheels. They big. Unfortunately, haven't had time to attack the fenders yet. So I can't put them on the truck. Maybe tomorrow.

I painted it too. But it was dark when I took the tape off. Have to get the liners screwd back in and melted to the new shape of the fenders.

These are some big bitches.

Here's the final painted fender.
. 20171001_161941-1612x907.jpg

I shot it with flat black because it's what I had handy and when I do the wrap who cares what color it is. I'm happy with it and I've got gobs of room now. Hopefully I'll have time to do the other side this week so I can mount my tires.

Got into the passenger side fender today. Much to my surprise,

20171002_163824-907x1612.jpg

The entire lower corner of the fender is covered in bondo. In some places it's up to about ¼" thick.

I did the best I could with the cutting and folding of the metal. But when I started to bend the new fender lip up, the bondo started to crack up so I had to paint a lot more than I wanted to. And the curve isn't as good as the drivers side.

So I'll run with it for now, but I will be keeping an eye on ebay for a new fender.

Got the fender liner back in the driver's side today. I'm tickled the way it came out. Almost looks like I know what I'm doing.

While I was under there I started on the passenger side. First task was to move the mounting bracket that holds the body harness up and out of the way.

Once that was done I did some additional "massaging" to the pinch seam right behind the tire.

Painted that and ran out of time for today. Will be back at it later this week. Might actually mount the tires this weekend.

Got thing done!

Finished up the passenger side fender as best I could. I'm not as happy with it as the driver's side. And I'm still looking for a new fender.

And I just realized that I didn't take any pictures of that side. So I'll go get some later.

But more importantly! Tires are mounted!

Drove for about an hour at interstate speeds today. Hooooolllllyyyyy ufck it needs gears. 6th is practically useless unless I'm going 80. Time to build those Titan axles as fast as possible.

Also, currently have the tires at 35lbs. It's too much. I'm going to chalk test it when it stops raining, but something tells me I'll probably be around 26-28lbs for normal driving pressures.

Just picked up the truck from the dealership.

A few weeks ago I took the truck to Discount Tire to have the tires rotated and balanced The kid that pulled the truck around somehow managed to completely ufck the clutch right out of it. I watched him stall it 5 times just pulling it in. So.

I will say, that Discount Tire stepped right up, admitted it was their employee that was at fault, and paid for the repair 100%. When the dealer got in there and tore it apart, they found that the flywheel was scored beyond saving. Soooo....I may have spent a little more money and upgraded. It cost me about another $200 over what the stock parts cost, but......

Also got a braided stainless clutch hose for the slave cylinder.

Holy shiat. This clutch is wonderful. It's like an on/off switch. There's almost zero pedal travel to get it to grab to 100%. Once it starts to grab, you have to hold it RIGHT there in order to keep it slipping. And the low inertia flywheel makes the truck a LOT more rev happy.
