I suggest checking out local exhaust shops that do 2.5" mandrel bends Most will make you an exhaust for cheaper than what you can buy. You may have to supply a muffler but you can get good flomasters or something similar at a decent price.

In a similar boat on my old truck, I bought a Borla XS 2.5" center in / center out and took it to a custom exhaust place. Had them build the whole cat back around the muffler. Including all parts, it was about $300. But well worth every penny.

Not bad. Pay about that much for a kit that you'd have to install yerself.

I have another question along these lines. When swapping out to different headers, cats, etc...do I need to put the heat shields back on? Will I have issues if I just toss them? And...and tricks for getting them off?
